What zone you are in? Are the plants dormant now? I'm not a sage expert but in general... When you move a plant, digging it up causes loss of root mass. This means the plant has a more difficult time taking up water. Frequently plants wilt under this condition. Relatively speaking, a small number of roots cannot take up enough water to support a large number of leaves. When this happens, it helps the plant by pruning it back after the move, equalizing root mass and leaf mass. I've done this before and the plant stopped wilting and recovered. The next year it was full and looked great. So based on that, it may actually be easier on the plants to move them now before there is a large number of leaves. You shouldn't have a problem with wilting. Just my opinion.

Make sure the cellphone AND charger are in your luggage and not in the moving stuff. Keep a old phone book of your old hometown in case you need to call for copies of records or to cancel something you forgot about. PACK yourself a box with things you absolutely will need in the first few days in the new place. Give that box to the movers last! Hide your luggage or that will be packed up and moved. Best thing is to take and empty one closet and then tape over the door like a police scene, IF you can get a few friends willing to help "watch" over the movers you will never regret it. Generally you've got several people in the house all packing different rooms. It helps if you can have a dear friend in there watching them making sure they pack things correctly and completely and that them mark the boxes clearly. Box cutters, a cheap set of tools and some other misc can easily be picked up at a Dollar type store AND it gives you a chance to explore your new neighborhood. Not sure the ages of your kids but it would be smart to pack them backpacks with plenty of stuff to do and some snacks. Airlines GIVE you nearly nothing these days. Make sure special blankets, pillows and stuffed animals needed for sleeping are packed in the suitcases. Your attitude is going to trickle down to the kids. So if you can manage to keep it light and fun they will pick up on that. Moving isn't something to fear but an adventure wanting to happen. When you get to the new place make sure not to spend all your time unpacking and getting moved in. Take time to get to know the neighborhood and do a few fun things with the kids. It makes a big difference in everyones attitude. For the dog. On his collar write your cellphone number in marker. If he/she should get loose and someone finds him that number can be your best chance of getting him back if he doesn't have a chip. Even with a chip lots of folks only look for a number to call.

i would run the wire to a box but leave it tagged as to where it goes and disconnected at both ends. then put a blank plate on it so that later you can easily add an outlet. while you are at it, put in boxes so that later you can add surround sound. speaker wire is fairly cheap, so go ahead and run them and terminate at a central place that you think you might put an AV system later. it is easier to do with teh walls open than later once they are closed up! i like what the builder of my house did in my den. there are several empty boxes in teh walls with a blank cover on them. each one has conduit goign up into the attic and already has a pull string in them. this gives me the option of moving my entertainment system around if i desire.

So...... as the seller, I am expected to have a completely empty house, with ALL the work that entails, for the final walk through? What, may I ask, is the point of a walkthrough? I would assume it is one last check to make sure nothing is wrong, as subjective as that sounds, before closing. That being the case it would appear that I the seller am burdened with hoping the all powerful buyer doesn’t back out the day before closing after secretly finding out they’re pregnant. Thus, leaving me with the work of moving back into the house paying movers for nothing and then resetting the home for showings. Forgive my vulgarity but this sounds dumb as hell.
