Wait...I think I have that reputation already....especially with purple and white bearded iris. LOL! Primgal36, Not all seeds can be winter sowed. If the instructions say they need heat..like 80 degrees...then I wouldn't try them. But most of the ordinary seeds can be winter sowed in your zone. I don't want to discourage you.....my zone is very different than most. And don't forget you can also just sprinkle or plant some seed right in place in very early spring. Doesn't help with the winter blahs, but sure makes it easier. Ask as many questions as you want here....there is a great bunch here always willing to help...we all asked a lot of questions when we started out too. Hey Triple b, what dahlias did you order this year and from where? I am starting pom pon and cactus dahlias from seed this year. Then I plan on seeing what Costco has in the bags this year when the $3 coupon is on in March. I really loved the small single dahlias I got from there last year. I'm a little confused. Is the first color you show in the LR, the one labeled 'before', is it the Olive Branch? It looks more blue green on my monitor. And the dining room is red right now? I don't think there's a thing wrong with having the two rooms that are connected by a single wall being the same color. And here's how I would play it out......If I'm not loving my DR anyway.......and want to change the color...........and already have the green paint..........then, all I've got to lose is a little time. Paint on into the DR, see how you like it after you live with it for a couple of weeks, then, if it's too much green, you can always go find something else. I do think getting rid of the sheers probably helps to de-formalize your LR. I finally went with plain jane chenille drapes a couple of shades darker than my wall to achieve some more comfortable feelings in my LR. I had fancy London shades in a yellow/blue toile on pale butter walls before. This is much more in tune with how we live. Your dining room set and antiques are very pretty, Cathrugg! Hi Seajay! I am glad to see you are making progress! It is very rainy here today on the Gulf coast! I have a contractor remodeling our master bath right now! The soak tub has been converted to a walk-in shower. And the old shower is being framed as a closet! They have been here since Tuesday, and they are almost done today! Yay! The painter we are hiring just called and wants to start next Tuesday! OMG, my head is spinning!😂🤣😂

Thank you everyone for replying! I'll try to figure out how to post pictures. Yes I did use dawn soap with the neem oil, I thought it was those fungus knats also. (Thousands of them ugh) I also had 3 strips of yellow sticky tape and they were coated with them. I haven't tried the dryer sheets, so I will definitely try that. The guava got about 4" of new growth on it over the last week and a half and yesterday that new growth was going limp. Yes, my apology on misspelling the vanilla proper name, I couldn't sleep and wrote that around 1 am. Our weather for the next 8 days is surprisingly good enough that I can toss the citrus and the 2 surviving bananas back outside (I'll keep an eye on night temps) hopefully this will give them the boost they need to put the fight back in them. Hopefully it will help rid the bugs?? So one mentions that vanilla may need different climate than citrus? I tried to make a happy medium between them all, so maybe that's not possible?
