I am so glad someone else is considering a stainless steel bathroom sink. Consumer Reports did give stainless the highest rating for bathroom sinks in terms of resistance to dings, cracks,etc. The two major mfrs. I've been able to find are Elkay and Kohler, both well-respected. Both have instructions on how to care for the finish and do mention that, depending on the hardness of your water, you can end up with water spots. They suggest dabbing the sink dry after each use with a soft cloth. Also certain abrasive cleaners are not recommended, so check with Elkay. So, if you don't mind a little extra care to keep the finish looking lovely, I'd go for it. It would be like jewelry in your bathroom! And with stainless, you won't end up with the crack like we have in our old porcelain master sink, where DH dropped his electric razor. :-(

I have the Ruvati single bowl sink. Pros: It's big and holds a lot of dishes. It's sturdy and insulated well enough for me. I like the ledge for accessories. Cons: It has a flat bottom, so I chase food around the sink with the sprayer trying to get food particles down the drain. It has tight corners and hard to clean. The colander has wood, so I'm not sure how long that will last and it has large holes and is open on each end. That prevents you from using it for anything small, like straining spaghetti. I suppose you could use it for larger cut vegetables. I personally have it on the ledge and use it to set my liquid soap bottle, scrubbies and to hang my dishcloth to dry on the edge. I sometimes rinse my flatware and place in there prior to loading the dishwasher. I bought an after market, fine mesh colander that expands to fit the ledge and I store it in my cabinets. The grid for the bottom of the sink I thought was a good idea when I bought the sink. I hate it. The space between grids is too large to prevent anything from falling through. It gets food gunk on it, so I would be constantly scrubbing it and have to take it out to clean the sink. I don't use it anymore. If I could have a do-over, I would not purchase it again. You spend a lot of time at the sink, so allow enough in your budget to get a sink that will make using it less of a chore.

Elkay: In case you didn't believe this is a retrofit, here is a "before" picture. The new cutout has bisected the grinder slot that held the sink clip. That's the arc that is filled with stone and color matched adhesive. The plug in the front is the reinforcement rod slot having been ground back and filled. Not bad. I never point these out to the homeowner; once you do, she can never "unsee" them. Run this thread past your technical guys, please. I can't wait to hear the "It can't be done." The secret? Because the bowl is deeper than the apron, you have to tap the cabinet front off. If you put the sink in, you can't get the cabinet front back on. If you put the cabinet front on, you can't get the sink in. You partially put the sink in place, partially put the cabinet front back on, more sink, more cabinet front, until you're done. I never use your provided clips; all my retrofits are strapped in place. Throw a couple of Sink Straps from Regent Stone Products in the box instead, please. Keep making these please. They are moneymakers and the customers love them. Just under 3K.

I would not get the sink pictured in the OP, though I really like Elkay, a good midwestern manufacturer been around for a 100 years. But the pictured sink is a 50-50 double bowl. If you must have a double bowl sink, don’t get a 50-50. They’re terrible because neither side is big enough to wash anything without banging the divider. If you must have a double-bowl sink get a 60-40 or 70-30. Better would be a single bowl. Also that curvey back on the pictured sink is a dated look.
