Height of fixed showerhead?

Comments (6)I don't think you need a fixed shower head. In our shower we are planning a fixed and handheld because it is large enough for 2 people to shower at one time. So, having 2 heads would be handy. It is were only really large enough one person, one would be enough and it wouldn't have to be fixed. The handheld allows for easier shower wall cleaning too....See MoreFixed shower head is way too low - please advise!
Comments (6)You could add a handheld. You might search for one that mounts wherever you want, instead of just at the same height as the present one. Issue with putting a backer on over the wood is the cultured marble cap the glass rests on only has enough overhang to cover the depth of backer (see 2nd pic). My tiles that are discontinued are cut to fit under the cap so if I were to put a 1/4 inch backer on and then the tile the tiles would stick out just under 1/4 inch out with no cap over which I would suspect would allow water to run behind them?...See Moreartemis78
