I've never seen an armadillo....always wanted to. They look so interesting to me...do they bite?

Naturally all of my grass pics come with veggies......isn't corn in the grass family? ;-)

The "grass" is really just 10 varieties of weeds, but it looks good when mowed.

Annie, here's an armadillo baby that came walking through my brother's yard in Florida, years ago. I was very close to it and it pretty much ignored me. It reminded me of a opossum in it's single mindedness of getting from point A to point B, wherever that was. I don't think they are interested in people, biting or otherwise. This one seemed pretty peaceful and very interesting to see.

Oh and it's in the grass. LOL

They're nocturnal so they're usually out of sight during the day. At night they forage for grubs and worms and can do a good bit of damage to flower beds and lawns.

We had a pair of them evict a fox from its den under an outbuilding and take up residence. They were trapped and relocated.
