I found the chandelier version of this light from Golden Lighting hanging in my lighting supplier's showroom - I liked it but it didn't really work anywhere in my home. Out of curiosity, I looked further and found the semi-flush light. I decided it would be fun and unexpected to put it in my master closet as I hadn't yet decided on that fixture (the chandelier felt too large for my closet).

My original plan for my master closet (walk-in) was going to be some variation on this Savoy House fixture.

IMO a closet needs really good lighting all LED 4000K since this is the space where you putan outfit together so better make sure all the pieces actually work together and that requires lighting that mimics daylight. I guess if you have a tone of pot lights in the LEDs you can add a pretty chandelier but for sure not that for overall lighting. I have a window in my walkout which I love but it needs a solar shade to keep my clothes from fading so I have a really good LED track light with the 4000K bulbs

My closet is not very big so I was thinking a single semi flush with a few bulbs would work. I’ll try to get a picture later, they just finished the install of the storage system.

I have pot lights and a chandelier in my closet. My city code required that the light bulbs in the hanging fixture be enclosed so I went with a drum shade that was enclosed top and bottom.

The size of my closet should be just fine with the fixture I've selected, particularly with appropriately chosen light bulbs and a dimmer switch. My mother's walk-in closet is easily 1.5 times the size of mine with only a very nice 6-light chandelier, and with the dimmer turned up there's enough light (even with 40W incandescent bulbs) to land an aircraft.

Thankfully, I've managed the past few decades to pull together my clothes for the day and look not only presentable, but professional (during the week), without the assistance of either 4000k lighting or Garanamals tags attached to my clothing.

I like a simple 2-light flushmount, bright but unobtrusive. Hard to advise without knowing your style, gender, size of closet, but here are a few ideas.

I think I'd save glam for the space just outside the closet -- any kind of crystals or other pattern will just make it hard to see your clothes.
