Very nice quilting work. I used to do hand quilt all of my Queen size quilts. The ole neck will not allow me to sit and do this any more. The last two I had to send out to be machine quilted. I am pleased with the outcome of them. But just not the same look as a hand quilted one. Keep up the awesome work.

Bev...while the tee shirt is bright and very nice...the two black and white quilts turn out Terrific! I think they are stunning! Personally, I'd give one to first place cause that is an accomplishment in and of itself to go a 100 miles.... And one to the last place for shear perservance! Well done! V. Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. I agonized over this layout for months. Once the blocks were done, I took a picture of each block and used PowerPoint to try out different layouts. I love the modern quilts but the ones that blend the traditional and modern in some way are the best. vasu

When I came to the crooked corners, I just kind of guessed at it. The rest of it worked well. I decided it was fine and went on down the road. I couldn't change it, so I might as well be happy with it. And I am. For my first quilt, I'm really pleased. Of course, there are several mistakes. On some, I was too far down the road to fix them. On others, I was tired of Mr. Seamripper. I learned a lot about cutting accurately (I also bought an Accuquilt.) and how much a small mistake gets bigger. Same with 1/4" seams. I've tried two different feet, the old thing you screw into the bed of machine (I'm into vintage machines) and painters tape. I bought a laser at Harbor Freight last week, but haven't figured out how to put it on the machine. So, all and all, my sewing and cutting skills are improving. Still lots of room left, though. bkay
