Show me your hex-tile floors and tell me your grout color please!
Comments (8)Hi Bill, I have seen mention of this Mapei on other threads and did a google search and came up with a lot of foreign-language links. Who makes it? Or better yet, can you give me a link to a website? (Also, I sent you an email - did you get it? I noticed another tile installation disaster today. Our Master Bath floor has been covered for protection until today when part of it was exposed while the double vanity was installed. The large 16" square honed Calcutta Gold tiles are not centered on any of the walls, so there are really off grout lines at the center of the vanity. It is really obvious and when I think about it I literally want to cry :( . This is our forever house and everywhere I turn, a tile job is done badly. I could really use a good referal!)...See MorePlease show me your drawers under your 48' rangetop & gas line Q
Comments (8)My cooktop is only 36", but the range hood is 48" and the two pot storage drawers are also 48". I don't find them too large at all. To support the weight of heavy pots, they have heavy duty full extension glides, but they still work perfectly after nearly five years of constant use. I can pull them out with one pinky hooked in one handle. They glide closed with a bump of the knee. It's a great arrangement, and one of the smartest things I did in this kitchen....See MoreShow me your kitchens will all refrigerators and freezers
Comments (23)Hi gardenlady, I'm planning on having a similar kitchen to yours I think - 14 x 16 with 16 being the long wall of the U. I've attached one of my main go to inspiration photos. We will have fridge and freezer units like you describe, and they'll go on the left leg of the U. (The side not seen on my inspiration photo) I've posted on the kitchen forum a framed picture of our new build showing how I did the windows. The one thing I would say is I want a big workspace on my island to be across from my sink, not my stove. Just a thought. Hope this helps. Comments (33)xena45 - funny! No one ever asked about my paint color until this week and now this is the second time! The paint is Enoki by C2 Paints. It's less beige than the photo makes it out to be, at least in my house, it has a gold-green tone to it, maybe a bit more camel? Anyway, I love C2 colors, they are very drenched with color and use about an average of 7 pigment colors in each paint. We do like it, it seems to blend with many different colors. However, I have been toying with the idea of a French Grey now that our lovely countertops have been installed. You have to understand, I love change and am constantly updating here and there around my house. If we do go with the FG in the kitchen and family, we will keep the Enoki in the master suite, it's lovely. Thanks for asking! Mindi...See Morebowmeister67
