Lovesummer, your room is really pretty. You have mixed the green and beige very nicely. Thanks to everyone for the reassurance about the green sofa. I can't believe I might be abandoning my "beige" living room that I had planned for the past year, but I have to say I really love the green. I know I may grow tired of it in a few years, but that could happen with beige as well. The beige could also look dirty in a few years, not from that much use - living room not used much, but from my two dogs who like to rub themselves along furniture. I know I'm rationalizing. I am going to post another thread today with a couple difference fabric choices I have picked out for 2 accent chairs. Hope I get alot of help again!

@beverlyFLADeziner , i like the way to superimpose the pictures and show it on my livingroom. It helps me visualize better. I like the third rug, but not sure whether it is too bold for me I like the rug suggested by @celerygirl , want to go some colorful chair though. @Groveraxle you completelty changed my vision for this room. I should say , i would have never envisioned that rug/chair in my room , but once you put it i can see how they all come together with that nice wall art. How do you guys do that picture editing? This might really help me in figuring out the right furniture/rug for my space. Or can i post the rugs/chairs I am thinking , can someone help me visualize it with photos? You certainly can go with a neutral chair and add yellow accents. Here is one from West Elm that comes in several tones. It does come in a light grey. You might have to change the paint color of the room, depending on what you choose. @BeverlyFLADeziner that's what I was thinking. That beautiful rug may be too small to be an area rug. @Chelsea Downs, what are the dimensions of the rug? It's the perfect design inspiration piece.  The other question I had, seeing suggestions of pink and white, is who lives here? @Chelsea Downs are you living alone or are there kids, pets, and menfolk to make comfortable too?  I love the idea of picking up the two tones of blue, the coral, and accesorizing with some gold accents that also are in the rug. It would be nice to think of the room as a whole when deciding on a sofa color.  @Chelsea Downs, you mentioned you thought of a brown sofa originally. Were you thinking of leather? Perhaps a cognac leather? Or a Cordovan leather? There's quite a range of leather colors. And leather often appeals to people or guests with allergies. It also provides a very touchable texture. It can be cool to sit on in winter but also nice for that reason in summer. Leather and wood are nice natural materials to add some brown to a room. You have wood floors. So if you go brown, I think leather is nice.  Are you replacing the light blue loveseat in your photo or do you want this new sofa to coordinate with it? When I look at your room I want to add more cream. But it doesn't have to be a sofa. Also, ignore the style of sofa in my pictures. It looks like your style is trending to mid-century modern?
