Hosta T 2021 .........................
Comments (37)Tangerine Tango doing the tango and later in the season. Almost looks like two different plants with the wide center and the more streaky parts. It may be trying to revert to Orange Marmalade. Tea at Bettys is filling in nicely for a small fragrant plant. Teacher's Pride is growing slowly for me. Hopefully this will be the leap year for it. Tequila Sunrise not looking very yellow nor red-legged in the middle of June. Perhaps it needs more sun, but I still like it here anyway. The King with some early yellow edges on the second flush while the first flush edge has gone green before the green cream emerges. Toy Soldier in the middle of the front row and Tick Tock to the right of it. Tidewater Touch of Class next to June I ordered Tropical Dancer online but was sent Tropical Storm so they refunded me for TD and let me keep TS. Lucky me I found a good sized Tropical Dancer at W&Gs going out of business sale. Should be bouncing back after planting in mid-late 2019 but slow growing for me so far. and the Tropical Storm freebie Twice as Nice was new last year as was Twinkle Little Star...See MoreHosta minis 2021 .................
Comments (26)Late again, i know "the mini list" goes by leaf size, but I just throw the little ones in to a big pot and call them minis. Clockwise from back left corner: Fruit Loops, Fantasy Island, Coconut Custard, Pixie Vamp, Cookie Crumbs. And when they start to crowd, they get thrown into the garden and replaced in the pot with my "miniaturized" Hosta from the garden. The little ones like the breathing room. Clockwise from top: Coconut Custard, Lakeside Banana Bay, Smiley Face, Cookie Crumbs, Pixie Vamp. Clockwise from top: (not so mini) Dinner Mint, Yippee, Li'l Smooch, Cherry Tart, Crumb Cake and Kaleidoscope in the middle. Dinner Mint gets moved to the garden and Kaleidoscope moves to the edge. A new mini pot last year. CW from top: Platinum Tiara, Cracker Crumbs, Cameo, Silver Tongued Devil, Lemon Kiss. And overflow minis planted last year. CW from top: Hacksaw, Faithful Heart, Little Miss Sunshine....See MoreHosta Leaves 2021 ........................
Comments (25)Thanks to Paula and so many of you for keeping the alphabet going! We just got snow and more predicted (a good thing!) so I won't be in the gardens just yet. The first one ....# 5, Be a plant, lol. Cats like to fit themselves in anywhere they can. And I hope the float a poo is only a joke. That will have to come down somewhere sometime. utog, perfect shots of June and Tokudama flavicircinalis. hosta_maker, beautiful leaves on Wildest Dreams! old_dirt, Don had such enthusiasm for hostas. I hope all is well with him. Mourning Dove Rare Breed Sleeping Beauty put out an all yellow leaf Fire and Ice Snake Eyes...See MoreHosta Sun Lovers 2021 ...
Comments (13)Paula especially love the duck & no secrets in the garden. So nice everyone. old_dirt it certainly has adapted! When I checked the list there are so many sun lovers. Here are a very few. BME Lemon Frost Powder Blue is not on the list but should be for me. It gets sun until at least 3:00. Lemon Lime with June & Borwick Beauty (Don still lists it as Color Glory) behind. Royal Standard is at the top. Here you go Ann. Praying Hands with Winter Snow behind. WS is very sun tolerant....See Moreold_dirt 6a
