Snuggle Free Clear Fabric Softener is great!
Comments (9)@ mark40511....I started diluting my FS with water about a year or so ago too. It makes a HUGE difference in gunk build up in the FS compartment and the plastic siphon valve. I do, once a week, clean my entire tray with hot water and a brush (and then let the tray air dry before putting it back). Actually, when not in use, I ALWAYS leave the washer door ajar, and most of the times, I just keep the tray out (either let it rest in the sink, or lay it on top of the washer). @livebetter...I used to used the Downy Free Softener, but honestly this Snuggle Free Clear is thinner, yet a small amount softens better. I also find it to smell less unscented than the Downy one (if that makes sense!). Unless P & G brings back the original classic April Fresh, then Downy lost a more than 20 year customer! Love this Snuggle FS!!...See MoreShare Your Favorite Free & Clear Detergents
Comments (57)I knew you'd be proud of that deal Mama! That load of colors is out of the washer and everything look brighter, and I'm impressed with one pod's cleaning ability. Load was done on cool which was 74F. I'm looking forward to continuing to use these on colors. When I had them last time I only used them on whites....See MoreFree and Clear Detergents
Comments (23)Just putting this out there for the Wisk-deprived souls out there...I feel your pain losing a detergent that has worked well for you for a long time. I mentioned last year in a thread on this board about how I was using Kirkland liquid detergent (scented version) and was pretty pleased with it overall. I also mail ordered liquid Wisk in my never ending quest trying to remove DHs oils and funk build up. When I started using the liquid Wisk, it smelled, looked, washed, cleaned and suds up exactly like the Kirkland scented liquid detergent. They were (to me), the same product in different bottles with different names. I felt kind of 'taken' after discovering this because I paid a premium for the mail ordered liquid Wisk and I paid the Costco value price for the Kirkland jug of what seems to the same product. I had to give away both of those detergents after my TL Speed Queen arrived because they BOTH behaved exactly the same in regards to suds coming out the drain pipe on final rinse. It was a suds party all over my drywall and down-dosing did not resolve the issue. Only led to under dosed detergent in wash cycle. Anyhoo, do what you like with that info. I do wish I could use the Kirkland liquid, but it just doesn't play nice with the enthusiastic pump on my SQ and my narrow sewer lines. Maybe give the Kirkland detergent a try and see if it meets your laundry's needs....See MoreAll Free and Clear
Comments (49)Hi Pat, I decided to try Costco's exclusive ALL F&C formula as my MIL has been using it exclusively for several years and she swears by it. They do a lot of laundry in her house (6 adults) and I've been paying attention to their clothes. Everything they wear always looked clean, stains were removed from tablecloths, clothes didn't appear to wear too quickly, etc, etc. I took the plunge and finally bought a bottle which runs for $10.99 on sale every other month or so for a huge 158 load bottle. I've been very impressed with it's performance. It gets my laundry clean, soft and well-rinsed. I'm still on the fence as I haven't tried it yet on everything...Haven't washed my napkins or bedding with it yet but so far it hasn't let me down. My 96-load bottle of Tide F&G is nearly empty, so I'll be using this ALL liquid for mostly everything soon. I also have Tide Purclean Free which I use on laundry that I don't want OBs and ALL Free powder for heavy duty loads including workout clothes and microfiber cleaning towels....See Moredadoes
