The good idea it would be to make some samples before painting the walls. I had my heart set on painting my walls White Dove, but in my house the walls looked really yellowish. Had to change my plans.

The cabinets are definitely whiter than white dove.

Just seeing if it will look ok with a creamy white walls with a cleaner white cabinets?

Axstad is a very frosty cold white. White Dove is a warm white. Big potential clash unless handled right, with multiple other whites, woods, natural materials, and a goodly shot of a dark color like black or dark green to ground things. .

The safest answer is to get the cabinets, get a white that matches the cabinets to paint the trim and then pick an off white that looks great with your whiter white for the walls or use the same color for the walls and trim and cabinets and use different sheens on the walls and trim.

whites + off whites in the same space can be very effective if done purposefully.

You are looking for a minimum difference in Chroma of 0.2 between the two so that one won’t feel dirty next to the other.

See lots of popular whites and their Chroma values in the Colorography Lab at The Land of Color. That way you don’t have to guess the differences between colours, you can just select the ones you wish to sample/view in your space.

I actually went with Paper white walls - a neutral white that has a hint of gray. Looks really good.
