Wall and trim color to go with BM White Dove cabinets? Help please. :)

Hello - I am looking for suggestions for a neutral wall (and trim) color(s) to go with Benjamin Moore White Dove cabinets. Floors will be oak stained to match old floors in the rest of the old house, and the counter will be quartz (Color Quartz Bianco Luna - sort of a Carrera look-alike), SS appliances. Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

Our kitchen cabinets and all trim are BM White Dove. Our flooring is a medium oak. Counters are marble island and dark perimeter. SS appliances. Our wall colors are Grant Beige in the Kitchen and various rooms, BM Elmira White in the hallways, , Bennington Grey in other various rooms. Two years later and no regrets. Good luck

I just painted my bedroom and master bath SW Alabaster with SW High Reflective White trim and doors. I LOVE the look, both colors work beautifully together. Depending on the time of day (morning sun) it looks white without being too stark white, as the day progresses it warms up turning into a vanilla cream in the evenings. My bedroom is west facing with more windows and a small south window. My master bath is west facing. The High Reflective White stays pretty true to color at all times. Unfortunately they were not able to do the cabinets in HRW as the paint I used on the cabinets could not be mixed in that color. HRW is a color that is funny at Sherwin Williams and kinda' tricky and definitely takes more coats to cover. I used Emerald paint in Alabaster on ceilings, walls, and cabinets in different finishes and Super Paint in Semi Gloss in HRW for trim and doors. I was nervous about using Alabaster on the cabinets in the bathroom but it worked perfectly. I will say, for those that are using a white on walls that is not as warm as Alabaster/White Dove, or more cooler grays (think grays that aren't greige) the Alabaster or White Dove warm soft whites are going to go yellow/cream. I would recommend going with Pure White for cabinets and trim. It is still a soft white without the creaminess of Alabaster. High Reflective White is also a good white it's not as soft as Pure White but still not so white that it looks cheap, but again HRW is hard to cover and cannot be mixed in many sheens and paints. I decided not to go with Pure White with my Alabaster walls because my husband wanted more of a contrast with the doors and trim, I wanted to use Alabaster on everything, but made a compromise with my husband, and went with HRW. I am not at all disappointed with the look. I know I spent countless hours agonizing over the choices and hopefully this will help others that are in the same position.

No problem, and thank you! Our kitchen was previously a garage so it really came a long way! It was quite the renovation. Our cabinet doors are from Semihandmade. I’m not sure whether they would be standard or full overlay. The doors and drawers completely cover the cabinet frame though. Our countertops are a white quartz, and our backsplash is a marble subway tile. All goes very well with BM White Dove and Natural Cream!

Dark-Gray Mirage , light -White dove matte finish Not sure about blues so maybe share the color of blue . It also is always good to show all the choices already made and for sure the floor color .

IMO White Dove in a semi gloss or satin and when asking this type of question always good to post pics of the space . Mixing whites is tricky so IMO keep it simple.

in our new build we are currently using BM Winds Breath and White dove trim. Winds breath is a very neutral almost Caribbean sand colour. I'll post a picture later. It also casts different hues with lighting of course

Can anyone post pics? I have white dove cabinets, and would like Pale Oak walls. But not sure there’s enough distinction for my liking. I’d like the cabinets and trim to pop. Thanks!

I would love to see pictures also as i have White Dove kitchen Cabinets and was looking at using Winds Breath for all the walls in the house and White Dove for all the doors and trim,in pearl finish .
My floors through out the house will be Ambiance’s Hickory Silver Mint which is a hand scraped Hickory greige, very warm. I sometimes see mauve in the floor and if the Winds Breath can lean towards a pink hue will this bring the mauve out of the floor or will the floor bring the pink out of the walls.
The kit hen, dining and living room face south so very bright with natural light. All out lights are 4000K. Would appreciate any help. Thank you

Thank you Rachel but the edgecombe is to grey, all colours, finishes and all fabrics were put together by a professional designer, the floors are not in yet we purchased a full box of flooring , I think I’ll put it down and buy a quart of Winds breath, I have a small area in the kitchen that I can try it on. I think I’m jumping the gun!

Thanks so much Colleen. I don’t see any pink so I’m staying with the original colours , White Dove cabinets that are in but no back splash or range hood. I love the white Dove cabinet colour and I’ll do the Winds Breath, could you tell me what you used on the ceilings, that’s the only colour my designer didn’t give me.

Cabinets, trim and walls in white Dove is the route I am taking. It gives the space a nice elegant look to accentuate the furnishing.
