I used BM Regal Select Matte in my kitchen & living room, and it has cleaned up beautifully; no sign of scrub marks. My mother used the BM Regal Select in Eggshell (which I would have used if my walls were in better shape, or if there was a breaking point between the kitchen and living room walls). I'm not sure how much more expensive the Aura Bath & Spa Matte is compared to the RS matte, but it's designed to hold up to the humidity of a bathroom, which is probably overkill for your kitchen (but certainly wouldn't hurt, either). If Regal Select and Aura are over-budget, check out BM's line called "ben". It's priced closer to the Behr paint/primer ($34-39), and my parents were happy with using it in their living room (eggshell, again). Be careful with color matches. Home Depot uses fewer colorants than Benjamin Moore, which creates issues with color matches. It might be "close-enough" for you, depending on how particular you are about color, but it will never be an exact match. Why yellow? I am thinking that with the color of your cabinets and flooring, you are going to have a hard time finding a yellow that works. Perhaps a warm cream color instead. But I was wondering if you would consider a pretty blue? I think it would be nice with the wood tones, work with the dark appliances, pick up the colors in your decorative plates, etc, and really show off the beadboard as well. Love your dutch door, by the way! Maybe something like SW 6520 Honest Blue, or 6521 Notable Hue

I have a hallway that runs through our "open-layout" main floor. From inside the hallways you can see the colors we've painted the other rooms on that level, so I feel like it has to be part of the same color scheme. In the other rooms, we have painted the ceiling and trim Benjamin Moore Moonlight White (https://tinyurl.com/z52cquq), the walls in one room is Behr Frosted Silver, although on our walls it looks VERY light blue (https://tinyurl.com/hwqw84w) and Behr Gentle Rain (https://tinyurl.com/jay5l3s). Any ideas? We've been looking at a yellow, but every sample I pick seems to clash.

Cutiepie, it could just be my monitor, but while the Frosted Silver looks blue to me, the Moonlight White looks like a very pale yellow, and the Gentle Rain looks like it's veering toward pink. Giving feedback on colors over the internet is a dicey thing, and you're the one seeing the colors as they really look in your house. When I put (virtual) swatches of Frosted Silver up against Gentle Rain, they look very different (but they are both so greyed out that when I look at them separately, I don't see the difference). If you have (or can grab at Home Depot) swatches of the two colors, I think you'll see what I mean. I think a dark color can work even without much natural light as long as you have adequate electric lighting, or light coming from the adjacent rooms. Especially with lots of white trim/doors. My dining room gets very little natural light (lots of windows but the curtains are usually closed because of proximity to the neighbor's house). Because I had lots of white wainscoting, I went with chocolate brown walls, which I love. It's cozy and intimate, not dark and gloomy.
