It's just their one-size-fits-all verbiage. They cancelled the order, period.

I’m guessing it’s because the item was out of stock … but it is odd to say it was canceled by you. Curious what they say.

I ordered towels from Rejuvenation a couple of months ago — after weeks went by (I’d actually forgotten about it), I got an email that my order was canceled. I went to their site and saw the towels were no longer available.

And yet the item on their site does not say it’s out of stock even now, and supposedly can be delivered on Sunday. So annoying, as we are only here for a few days — I should have known such a quick delivery time was too good to be true!

I ordered a nightstand from Wayfair for DGD that was to be delivered in late July to her college apartment. Received notice it was delayed, which was not surprising. A month later was still receiving updated delivery dates and called after receiving an email that I could cancel if unhappy. I called in September asking if they thought it would actually arrive. Could not find anything she liked better that went with her other furniture and that fit. We patiently decided to wait and not cancel, and she finally received it in early October.

I’ll be interested in hearing what they have to say.

I ordered two leather recliners (the kind that don't look like recliners) at one of our local furniture store who says it will be here by end of month, but when I look online for the same Hooker recliners-the other stores say won't ship until May! So, I'm a little worried about that-but I'm prepared for it as it seems anything nice worth having is delayed!

A little OT, but I ordered Pura Smart Home Purifiers and Fragrances last week and I was notified on my text it was delivered two days ago-after looking in mailbox and in our courtyard (where they normally place everything) and not finding it- I looked online and it was delivered to Ogden, Utah! I live in OK. I emailed them that night and the next day they sent a whole new order out and I am suppose to get it today-which is quick!

eta: I am just glad I finished with my last decor job a couple of months ago-it was a nightmare with orders being canceled and delayed then-makes the job last so much longer and much more work to find replacements! Decorators (I'm just word-of mouth and not certified to be clear) are probably charging much more now due to all the extra work. I'm telling my people I won't get back into it, until things get back to normal.

Wait -- did you check the return address on that email? I get spam mail like that purporting to be from any number of online retailers saying my order has been delayed, or there's a customer reward waiting for me. It's usually easy to tell it's bogus because I never ordered anything, but the reason they do that is because there's always the chance the recipient has ordered from the company.

Carol's right (unless the email did specifically mention your bed)--when you call, use the phone # from your order email or the website and not any on the cancellation...just in case.

FWIW, if I did happen to have ordered from a company and wasn't sure about a return email, I would not click through any links in the email, but rather go directly to the site to check my account.

No, it was a legit email. I’m 95% sure… have not had a chance to call yet.

In that case, it may have been a glitch in their notification system. It happens...

Similar situation with Amazon. I ordered a new basic metal bed frame for my parents. It was due to arrive the day before they moved into a continuing care facility. I had been tracking it, as the timing was crucial. Waited all day and the last time I checked they said was cancelled! Spent the rest of the day driving around to find one locally.

Gotta love great customer service! LOL. I called and all she kept repeating was, ”unfortunately the supplier did cancel the order because the item is no longer available.” Okay, so why does the email say I cancelled it? ”unfortunately the supplier did cancel…” Okay, just fyi the item is still listed on your site as being available. ”unfortunately the supplier…” Okey dokey, thanks.

Just read after googllng --- Wayfair will cancel orders when shipping and billing addresses differ. Could that be what happened to you? Makes no sense!

Arapaho, I just received an order from Wayfair. Shipping and billing are different. No issue.

I had the same thing happen about a year ago-- i had ordered a copper lazy susan and it was cancelled about the time it would have arrived. I think a LOT of Wayfair stock is drop shipped so the communications about availability and shipping status aren't great. I am very hesitant to use Wayfair for anything important for this reason. Ive become accustomed to the immediate satisfaction of quick delivery!

I am totally shocked my leather recliners are in and to be delivered tomorrow! I was sure hoping I'd get them before any trucking situation happened, but would have understood if it did.

Wayfair cancelled my order because they had priced it lower than they should have and they refused to honor the advertised price.
