wall with pocket door in it - how to attach things that need stud

Hoping to get smart advice. The back wall of my daughter's closet has pocket door in it. We want to use the Ikea Aurdal closet system. The shelf/drawer unit has front feet, leans against the back wall and is stabilized by a bracket as shown in attached picture. Problem is we don't have studs where the bracket needs to go so I'm looking for advice. I was thinking we can put the bracket where it needs to be to stabilize the shelf/drawer unit but not attach it to the wall, but instead mount another piece to studs higher and have vertical metal pieces connecting the two, so that the bracket stabilizing the unit is hanging from the upper bracket that's attached to studs. Does anyone have better ideas or comments on whether this idea is reasonable?

I looked at other closet systems (container store, etc) and we think this looks nicest for her little closet. Not really interested in a $$$$ custom deal.
