Thanks Homepro1. I think what you're suggesting is what I was more or less leaning towards. The toilet in the upper left corner, facing the diagonal wall. The sink along the lower wall, closer to the door. (Standing space would be more or less the same for both facilities...just pivot!). The rather narrow boxes you've used, have me a bit confused though...so not sure if this is what you are suggesting The window is about 40 inches off the floor. No real worries about "viewers" in any case... it's not in the eyeliner of neighbors. The pocket door is,in fact,likely to to be a pocket door, but a frosted glass slider...barn door type hardware. But no worries about where it will be. If there are guests in the house, it will be closed, to keep the mess of my bathroom private!

Thank you for replys. The room is big, so if you put the sofa like in Kitch4me photo ( we had it like that before, I will attach a picture), it looks massive in the middle of the room. Maybe it would work with a smaller sofa. It also seemed too far from the TV. So, I moved it closer, but then looking from other angles it looked like sofa is in the way of the door. Gracie,01, I will try to arrange it like that and take a picture. My only issue is it would be off centered. See where the hallway opening is and the master bedroom door. Turning a sofa there, sofa would be looking at the master bedroom door, not at the TV. Also, it seems far again. The room is large if the furniture is too close to the walls. Moving it towards the center of the room works better, I am just stumped on where to put the TV. I do appreciate the advice, thank you for taking the time.Disregard the two chairs, I was trying to see how would it look with a loveseat there. The sofa was moved farther back at first, but it looked awkward.

There was no mention of a wheelchair in the original post, however, having recently been confined to a wheelchair I have some personal knowledge on this subject. Any of the chairs in the room could be removed to provide the space required. However, if you would like to use an area rug, you'll have to make sure the rug is a level loop rug and very flat, .........kind of like an indoor outdoor rug. Those rugs are stiff enough to withstand the friction from the rubber wheels and flat enough to be able to turn on the rug in the wheelchair without shifting the rug.

I would not even start if you cannot make the flooring all same level. Put some swivel chairs by the fireplace, but focus on the water view for larger furniture. You might have to have a TV end of the room, and another grouping of furniture for entertaining. Keep in mind how hard it is to see the tv screen if you have a wall of windows.
