Tile Problem need some advice

Our tiler is laying vertical subway tile. He is adding tile edge (schluter) around the existing window frame, which is raising (warping) the tile as it approaches the window. its very noticeable to the naked eye. I told him it was unacceptable. Why he wouldn’t discuss it with us before completing it is another question. Nonetheless he is saying the bottom tile at the window cannot be made flat. That because the schluter is required it makes the tile not flush with the dry wall. The other 3 sides which had smaller cut tile pieces bordering the window (where the warping was worse) he says can be flattened. He’s already torn up the 3 sides. I am concerned that he will not be able to make the tile flat. I initially said I could live with the bottom tile not being flat but I have changed my mind.

There must be a way to resolve this issue?
