In the middle of a kitchen reno. So we didn't have to replace all cabinets a custom hood was a solution to enlarging the stove (30 to 36") and removing the microhood above it. (Downsizing from the orig 18" cabinets on each side to 15" not possible since the cabinets are discontd.) New enlarged all counter-height island going in shortly with Cambria Brittanica Gold surface and dark 'smoke' cabinets (sample below.) BG will also go in the backsplash behind the rangetop. Just replaced the surrounding countertops with Brittanica Winterbourne and looking for suggestions for a BM off-white for the cabinets that would hopefully coordinate with the existing SW Heron Plume walls without making the room look washed out in that direction, though I know accessories will help. The lightest BM coordinating color Cambria suggests is Moonshine which looks a little green with the lack of light in the room. (The room pic below taken around 12:30 on a very sunny day.) It's a big room facing north with a lot of shadows.
