You should be able to find a vinyl of some sort in a stone look. That would be better than a "fake wood" look and keep the Houzz flooring police from trying to arrest you!

I’m not a vinyl fan with a “fake stone” look. I suggest a wood look tile that is a close match to your floors. Although another kind of tile would work depending on your countertops and counters.

Memphis, there is already enough wood in the kitchen with the cabinets so adding “matching” flooring would probably be too much.

Cabinets will be refinished as they are worn, similar wood finish.

If you don’t want to go with ceramic/porcelain/stone tiles, take a look at the stone-look LVP — much more realistic looking than they used to be. This particular product is Mannington and comes in 18” square, as well as 12” x 24”.

I have Pergo laminate oak flooring in my kitchen which remains in fantastic shape. When I had my entrance hallway flooring replaced, I found out my Pergo was discontinued. So for the hallway flooring, I chose Italian porcelain wood look tile that was a decent match to my Pergo. When I had my new oak stairs installed, my carpenter stained my staircase to match the wood look tile flooring in my hall. I am happy with the outcome. In my first picture, the Pergo is the lower half and the wood look tile is the uper half. Best of luck in your flooring joirney
