Holiday Cactus/ Thanksgiving? Gift from BIL ..
Comments (16)Jojo..Doesn't the mix Josh speaks of sound so delicious? lol Reall! My C.C, T.C, all my Hoya's and many other epethites , is that how you spell that? Oh yes, many of my orchid and most of my houseplants LOVE this mix! I think you said something about being worried about having to water more often in the heat? Have you seen how HOT the temps can get where Josh lives? I have never been that hot here, and he seems to do just fine. Rhizo, you crack me up..lol Wishing everyone a Happier New Year or just as good as the last! It's 30 degrees here and already dark and cloudy at 4 p.m. So depressing. I was really hoping my plants would at least get a few minutes of sun today. Not:-( Mom send you an extra ton of love Jojo and wishes all the best for Mike too. You have been such an awesome friend after all these years. Ooh, one more thing Jojo...Take a look at what the mix could look like. I'll link you. It's 5 parts bark, one part pumice, and one part perlite. Josh thanks pal. Comments (12)I'd like to give a shot of common sense to everyone. To the ones who have to stay in the lane to try to get just one more car length before cutting over and making everyone panic stop. The ones who think a flu shot will keep them from getting sick. The ones who think they're saving money by putting things on credit cards with minimal monthly payments. The ones who think they're doing themselves good by moving every few years, refinancing to lower their payments rather than the amount paid and the coupon queens who think they're saving money by buying things they won't use and only bought it because they had a coupon. And the ones that think paying an annual fee to walk in the door of the Grab-n-Grunt is saving them money. I could go on, but I'd sure like to share that rare commodity called "common sense"....See MoreHow do you feel about those personalized photo holiday cards...
Comments (49)I have sent photo cards since my oldest was a baby. I love receiving photo cards...I had no idea that there are people who don't like them! In my demographic, which is families in the midst of raising children...photo cards are the norm. People do some amazing layouts and really creative cards... It is so fun to see what everyone has come up with. I love them all. Makes getting the mail so much more exciting in December. One of my best friends and her husband are incredibly funny and creative and come up with the most amazing cards each year. Last year they did a Downton Abbey theme, but changed the name to Downton "Their street name." They and each child dressed as a character (photo shop was involved) and the whole group was photoshopped in front of the real Downton Abbey house! It was awesome! i have another friend who is so smart and wickedly funny, besides being an incredible writer. Her Christmas letter has had me literally laughing out loud with tears streaming down my face it was so funny! Who wouldn't love getting that in the mail? I love Christmas letters, even the ones that might be construed as a bit braggy....who cares? It it interesting to hear what everyone is up to! last thing...I try to put a little note on most of my friends' cards that live far away, but I never judge people who don't! We are all busy and who knows what might be going on right then. Getting a Christmas greeting in the mail is just a fun tradition, and I hope it never goes away entirely!...See MoreCleaning person pay
Comments (24)We have had houscleaners several times in the past. Always one person, with a key to our home. Too long ago to remember how much we paid the first time, but in 2018 - 19 we paid $150 twice/month and he spent 3 hours each time. Part of the dynamics of someone cleaning your home is putting things away, keeping clutter to a minimum. DH is somewhat of a slob, and I have not been well. We live with 2 Australian Shepherds who shed like crazy. We live on Cape Cod which is a competitive market for housecleaning services because there are many second homeowners here who rent their properties to weekly vacationers and weekend tourists in the off-season. Presently, we are rehabbing parts of our house and don't have anyone come in to clean but I'm looking forward to that again. seagrass (trying to regain my identity)...See MoreJoanne
