In2Aqua: Best Customer Service and Support I have ever experienced!

I'd been looking at shower systems for months - there's a lot of info out there and a lot of different brands. Read every post and review I could find by plumbers, homeowners, designers, etc. Went to showrooms all over South Jersey. The best info and discussions I came across were on Houzz and the best resource for companies/products I found was Starcraft. Finally decided that In2Aqua was the quality and design that I wanted. Their website was so easy to use and I could create my own project list of the products and design I wanted - so easy to use!! The only time I ran into a problem was finding a showroom/dealer in the South Jersey area that I could purchase my shower system from... Here comes the part about the extraordinary customer service and support that this company and their dealers provide...So - I contacted In2Aqua directly via email. OMG - I don't even think it was a half hour before I got a response from Chris Marshall from Germany! Chris is the Managing Director of In2Aqua and opened with "Greetings from Germany!" and then got right to the point - gave me the name and contact info for their North American Manager, Greg Polkowski. But, he didn't expect me to contact Greg, he said Greg would be contacting me. And Greg did - both via email and phone! Wow, just wow. I couldn't get this kind of personal service and support when I was physically present in bath showrooms! I spoke directly with Greg, explained how I was having a problem finding the parts any where in my area for the shower system I wanted and told him I'd created a project list - he asked me to send it to him and I did - super easy via email! Within a day, Greg called me back, had reviewed the products in my list and made recommendations to change out a couple of parts and he had already contacted a dealer, Gene Goforth with Architectural Hardware Designs to get me the parts for the system.

Ivan works with Gene at Architectural Hardware Designs and called me directly to say they got the info from Greg and were getting the parts I needed for the system - Gene then called and reviewed all of the parts to make sure I had everything I would need and guess what - good to go! Received EVERYTHING from Gene & Ivan about a week later - each piece in a soft bag inside it's own box (wow..) , every single part is beautifully made, heavy and of the highest quality and the price, get this, was more than a thousand dollars less than any of the other "high-end" shower systems out there - and in my reserch, I read many use chaper materials and have had some big quality issues. Here's my take on that - the business model that In2Aqua uses allows them provide the best, and I mean best quality products, at FAIR prices because they work directly with their showroom dealers - this savings is passed on to me and you and boy is that nice!!

In summary: Best customer support and service I've ever received! This is my first post on Houzz - I read so much from others on Houzz and really appreciated the details and time people spent sharing info that I just had to give back and hope this helps others. If you are thinking about or planning on a new shower/bathroom - I cannot recommend the people and products from In2Aqua enough! Hoping that the construction and new bathroom we're putting in will be finished sometime over next few months - once it's finished, I'll update and try to post pics. Gary - does Maytag have their own research and design team? How about management team? Do they have their own factories where they only produce Maytag appliances ? Nope they pretty much cease to exist. The few factories that are still open are an old Amana plant from that acquisition and that scion of cooking Magic Chef ! Maytag 's only value is in its name. Now , lets look at Gaggenau. While they are under they Bosch ownership umbrella , they have their own mgmt. team, in Gaggenau Germany. Their own factories where they produce Gaggenau appliances, and more importantly, a capable R&D dept. that comes up with things like full surface induction tops, side hinged ovens, pop up column vents, side hinged ovens. Some of that is shared across Bosch's other brands, like the induction, and some is not - like the ventilator. I'll let you slide on this one since your a techie instead of a big picture management guy. But, how bout gettin a clue before you start looking for interesting things next time. Lots of parts are shared in the industry, and not just within corp. entities. There are only a few fridge compressors on the market. Does that make Kitchen Aid a marketing arm of Sub Zero because the compressor will fit both ? How about the light bulb that fits your Electrolux and a thermador too? What about the door hinges that Bosch and Tdor and Gaggenau use on their fridges? Miele has the same thing too. That's a whole separate discussion because of the shared factory, but by your logic it'd make them just a " marketing arm" because the same part is shared. Why don't you offer some reasons why one should buy Maytag instead of trying to pick a scrap with me and crapping on some other brand to deflect away from what the OP asked. And speaking of interesting and tellin it like it is, why didn't you include your beloved Electrolux on your list of poor service companies and those that don't do their own service? Inquiring minds find a THAT interesting.

Companies I've had great customer service from ... WOLF Answered endless pre-sale questions and post-purchase has also been equally top notch. I actually received a replacement part before I got the notice of its shipping (overnight). GAGGEANU Outstanding. I will preface this by saying it was five years ago, before they more throughly combined with Bosch, and I also think it had a lot to do with the amazing rep I was just lucky enough be directed to. But, having said that, it was absolutely above-and-beyond. MIELE Only had a tiny issue but it was handled quickly, politely and completely. Probably not a coincidence but the three products from the makers above are, at least so far, the ones I've also been the most happy with, performance-wise. Good products + good service = win, win. The Wolf and Miele are relatively recent additions to my kitchen though, to be fair. Now for the absolutely lousy ... WHIRLPOOL (includes KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, etc.) Don't even know their own products. While, in the end, I did eventually get some resolve, it's not been ideal and it's been way, WAAY harder than it should have been. When I think Whirlpool major appliance service, the words that come to mind are: slow, frustrating, expensive and stressful. BLUESTAR Bottom of the barrel. Embarrassingly so. Enough so that I have said, 'Never again' despite a product that is pretty damn impressive WHEN it works. ... That last bit is key. And those that are a more mixed bag ... GE MONOGRAM The opposite of Bluestar, in that the products seem to be pretty poor, but the service I've received pretty darn good. Maybe I've just gotten lucky and dealt with some amazing folks, but I've never felt left out in the cold, despite a HEAP of problems, and the on-site service people are the best I've worked with. Professional, conscientious and well-trained. In the end, we ended up ditching our Monogram ovens in favor of Wolf cause we just couldn't get em working right, BUT they definitely tried. BOSCH Actually, up until the end, the service was pretty poor, perhaps even hostile, and definitely illogical. Refused to do things like directly sending me an easily self-replacable part, but would pay for a contract service person to come out and install it charging me "only" for the $50 part itself when the call, even at their rates, had to be 2-4x that. But they did stand behind their product in the end ... Rather surprisingly so, given my earlier experiences but, gotta give them credit, cause they did eventually take responsibility. We chose to go with Miele upon replacement and, so far, I think it's a far superior product, BUT I also wouldn't rule out Bosch for a future purchase either.

I wanted to come back and let you know what finally happened with the Sony Vaio. The rep who wrote to her manager regarding replacement or refund wrote back after 10 days to say I had to return the laptop for the 5th repair. Since Sony had already stated their repairs do not include hardware it was obviously just another waste of time. I had contacted a TV news consumer group and they had a long list of complaints about Sony products. Unlike most other electronic manufacturers they had no contact info for any rep at Sony and had great difficulty finding one. When they were able to make contact with a Sony rep he immediately authorized the replacement of my Vaio. However, the other complaints the group had with Sony products were not resolved as of mid-December b/c Sony refused to honor their warranty on those products, one of which was a Play Station, insisting the products could be repaired (even after they had failed to do so previously). As for those who believe an extended warranty would have been of use in this case, the Vaio was under its original warranty from Sony, the extended warranty would not have applied. Since I had to purchase a second new laptop b/c the Vaio was in for repair or not working for 2 full months out of 5, we gave the new replacement Vaio to a charity and are hoping it works. We will never consider any Sony products again. Even the FedEx driver who delivered the return boxes/picked up the packaged up laptop/returned the unrepaired laptop has said he will never buy Sony. Buy Sony at your own risk.

My attention was drawn back to this thread by someone who liked an earlier post here, and I wanted to update to say that I did move forward with a Brizo articulating faucet purchase in the end and received excellent pricing during a sale at Quality Bath online. The issue with the articulating faucets falling forward has been fixed, so unless you were to order really old stock from a warehouse somewhere, all the new faucets for the last few years feature the fixed joints, and of course, Brizo faucets come with Delta's lifetime warranty. I ordered two of the Brizo faucets in the Brilliance Stainless finish which is PVD stainless steel and among the most durable of finishes available for faucets on the market today. Anything with "Brilliance" in front of the name from Brizo means that it is PVD. Note that Brizo's chrome faucets are merely electroplated, so you'd need to choose a finish that specifies "Brilliance" to get the PVD finish. The articulating faucets from Brizo that feature covered hoses, which is the style I purchased, are all newer releases and so would have the fixed joints no matter where you ordered them. Quality Bath does not stock Brizo in house, so any order you placed from them would come directly from the factory. I'm really happy with this choice and look forward to many years of longevity from the Brizo articulating faucets.
