turkey hurts my hands.
Comments (4)Linda, I have had a similar reaction. My skin burns & itches when I clean/strip a carcass. I really dislike cleaning it. I make sure I wash up really good with lots of soap when I'm done. Never had a reaction when I eat it, though. sheshebop has the right solution, however! LOL...See MoreRicer better for hand problems?
Comments (14)I have the disc style ricer and for me, it takes more pressure to use than a potato masher but does them quickly. I don't think a ricer would make the job much easier for you. However, my mother had a bad case of arthritis and she loved mashed potatoes and gravy so she developed this method: 1. Peel or scrub potatoes. 2. Run through food processor with coarse grating blade. 3. Empty into pot of cold water. 4. Dump into colander to drain. 5. Put back into pan and add water to generously cover. 6. Cook until done. 7. Dump into colander again. 8. Turn heat to very low and add butter to pan to melt. Stir in milk or buttermilk, S&P and add drained potatoes. 9. Mix just until blended and creamy with electric hand mixer. Do not over mix. The initial rinse of the grated potatoes helps prevent them from getting sticky. I hope you'll find a method that will work better for you, CC....See More~A Hole in the Wall and a Cute Corgi
Comments (14)I debated my hole in the wall project for quite awhile and possible load bearing problems. I cut the hole stud to stud and we will frame it in with 2 x 10 planks. Cross your fingers I don't get big cracks in the wall! I don't know if I scare my husband when I use power tools, but he always jumps right into a project after I make the initial mess. LOL I agree, sheetrock dust is a pain. I put all the plants in the shower last night and yesterday Digger complained it was in her oatmeal. My biggest problem though is deciding whether to fish the plyers out from between the wall (through all the electrical wiring) or just let it be. Hubby is all for fishing with a wire. My vote is to just buy another pair. Holly is tough to get a picture of in the house....unless she is sleeping. She likes to run and play. I will get a waddle picture someday though. Comments (21)The real 'trick' is when you design a new piece of equipment, and then have a hand in writing the code governing its use. So that you can mandate that your new equipment MUST be used by everyone everywhere. Although the TR outlets are presented a safety measure for kids, they only protect the range of kids that are dumb enough to think of sticking something in an outlet, but aren't clever or persistent enough to figure out the 'trick' to defeat the TR outlet....See More- 2 years agolast modified: 2 years ago
