turkey hurts my hands.

I have known for years that dealing with a raw bird, cleaning it out and, in the past, plucking the pin feathers makes my hands hurt. I thought it was some solution they used to wash them with.....then someone suggested it was some digestive juice that was inside it.....but I just wear gloves when dealing with the raw turkey and don't worry about it.

Tonight I was picking the meat off of the boiled up turkey carcass.....and my hands feel burned. I washed them several times, put on lotion and still they hurt.

Anyone else experience that?...Wonder if it's an allergy or what?
