SW Whitetail looks greenish? Doesn't match the chip? Am I crazy?

Hi,

How off can a paint colour be in comparison to the chip? I had my painter paint my place in SW Whitetail. First of all - he made a mistake - without asking me, he painted the trim in SW Extra White & ceiling in Extra White, when I wanted everything Whitetail. So he said he would fix that, but before he does, I'm now unsure about the Whitetail. It looks greenish to me, and doesn't precisely match the chip.....

On the other hand, I tried to attach pictures to this post where I hold the chip against the painted wall, but the pictures don't capture the difference. So the difference is subtle.

The painter said he can bring his SW rep in to check the colour if I think it's off & doesn't match the chip. In that case, SW will cover the cost of new paint etc. But I'm wondering if i'm just seeing things -- can I expect that when I hold the SW paint chip right up against the wall, there should be no difference at all in the colour? Or is some variation to be expected?

Thanks.
