SW trim color to go with warm & cool wall colors
Comments (1)I used SW Alabaster for walls and ceiling of an east-facing living room, hallway, and stairway (split entry). When I first started painting over the previous off-white it looked kind of cool/blue-ish (Alabaster -- duhh), but once all the walls were painted it looked neutral, and turned out fine. Comments (10)On my SW Whites and Lights brochure, there's 50 true whites, cooler whites, and warmer whites. Alabaster is a true white. I have Alabaster on my ceiling because I saw it recommended a few times as a soft white. Pure White and Extra White are listed as true whites. IIRC, Pure White was brighter than Alabaster. Eider White is cool, with green undertones imo, Nacre is warm and looks a little green/gold, and Creamy looks like a pale cream--not grayed down, but not bright either. I don't have Incredible White--I cut a few off trying to pick a ceiling color....See MoreHas anyone use SW Whirlpool?
Comments (0)I’m thinking of using it in our foyer as a pop of color but I can’t find any pics of it online in an actual house. The only pics I’ve found are computer generated. I don’t know for sure which color I’m using for the rest of the living space but it will be maybe Passive, Repose or On The Rocks. We haven’t moved in yet so I can’t determine that for sure. But I think Whirlpool will go with any of them. I’d just love to see some pics....See MoreHas anyone tried SW Cheviot or Cold Foam? (SW warm whites....)
Comments (25)Painted entire house in Florida Cheviot and it very nice. if you really love BM Simply White like i do, Cheviot is a very close favorite i like BM SImply W for Kitchen Cabs because it is a tad brighter and creamier than Cheviot. these two are so very close and my home in Florida is beautiful looks beautiful with Cheviot on ceilings and walls. My home in Maine has Simply W on an outside enclosed porch and i love sitting in it as does my husband. for a guy, he always comments on the beauty of its paint color Simply W. he is a big fan of it since i started using it in another home on cabinets. we are currently remodeling a condo and decided on Simply W for the walls. love both you cant go wrong!...See MoreHailey Mikulecky
