o3 is about a million times more reactive than o2. It makes no sense to compare the two. I am well aware that the extra oxygen molecule is unstable, and thus makes a big difference in the amount of oxygen molecules that ultimately get transferred. But that's not the point, and not a factor in my point. If falling water (or even rising air bubbles of only o2) did the same job, there would be no need for the whole ozone treatment process in the first place. They would just use a larger water pump for more falling water (heck of a lot cheaper). But o2 or o3, the process of how and why the oxygen molecules get transferred is still the same, just much more are transferred using ozone treatment (because of the extra unstable molecule). What you are not getting is the reason for the deep water chamber (with the rising air bubbles in it) in the first place. If the oxygen molecules were only transferred at the water's top surface, there would be no need for the tall columns of water with the air bubbles in ozone treatment. It would simply mean that there is more oxygen molecule transfer when using o3 rather than using o2 at the waters surface, with or without the tall water column or not (because you say that's the only place the molecules can exchange). But that's simply not the case, there's a very good reason for the tall columns of water for the rising air bubbles. The air bubbles need contact time with the water in order to have time for the oxygen molecules to transfer. The shorter the contact time, the less transfer (the point). That's also why the commercial aquarium builder I mentioned uses tall columns of rising air bubbles in their large aquariums (not a water pump). Not only do they get the benefit of the air bubbles long contact time with the water in the tall columns as they rise, but they also get the benefit of falling water as well, and without the need for another pump. That's why I say it's the best design I have seen yet. Why? What's the difference in aerating water for fish versus aerating water for plant roots? It's still water. Go back and re-read what I wrote. Beyond the fact that the more contact time the air bubbles have with the water, the more oxygen molecules are transferred. That is depending on the waters dissolved oxygen level, and saturation point at that water temp in the first place. But there is another very good benefit of rising air bubbles (you wont get using falling water) in hydroponic systems. But you'll need to go back and re-read my posts. I mentioned it at least twice, and even in the very last post I posted in this thread. It's a waist of time and effort to re-wright things over and over again when people don't even bother to read it in the first place. But I'll give you a hint on what to look for if you really want to know or care, it's not just about the waters dissolved oxygen levels (thus why hydroponics is different than for fish).

Small town life sounds good to me. As does living in the country. We had a few acres when I had horses and other animals back in the 60s and 70's. Phoenix is soooo big, too much traffic, and I hate driving even if it didn't cause my leg to go on the warpath. I was born in a small town, in Ala. I don't really going places alone either, and won't go out at night except to family gatherings at one of my kids. I'm waiting the arrival of my toile plates I just bought. Tho heaven knows what I can find to do with them, but will try just because of all the support I've gotten here. Any table settings I do will be just for ONE, maybe two if you're lucky. LOL. I'm going to be a one-trick pony, sorry about that. I just can't do full tables for many reasons. I've been 'planning' my Christmas decor. Really planning this year. Thought it might take some of the load off me being so over-whelmed with it when I go to unpacking a zillion things in the middle of the floor while telling two cats NOT to help me. A zillion times! One sleepless night I started plotting different places to put things this year. I want my newly begun collection of Nutcrackers (started last year) pretty much together. But I think the purple one should go with the Santa. And I have two golf Santas and two golf Nutcrackers that should stay together. Last year they were with my two other special Nutcrackers, a policeman and a fireman. These have a lot of meaning! I'm going to put my Village in the antique china cabinet in my entry hall this time I think, instead of Painted Pony Cabinet in familyroom. Tho I still have to move over a 100 statues from BOTH. I was thinking of putting Xmas horses and reindeer in the pony cabinet. I have quite a few of both now. Anyway, its fun to mentally decorate. It also doesn't wear me out or hurt my body. LOL. I think I'll start my Village next week in fact. First I have to make room for all those dog statues to safely go on closet shelves for the next two months! Ugh. hugs, Karen

Oh how I wish I'd done this all these years! It would be wonderful to read about past Christmas' times, especially now all my kids are grown with their own children! The only thing I've done the last few years is keep a list of gifts given to family and friends, as my memory stinks and I don't want to repeat gifts. As of last year, I also am keeping a list of where I've stored stuff. With things scattered around closets in the house, bins under my bed, bins in garage and storage shed, I now want to know exactly WHAT is WHERE. This year I am going to list and photograph my Christmas decorations as I unpack stuff, and am getting pictures of new purchases of course. As you know I take pictures of my house decorated, but I'd rather have better organized photos of collections and ornaments. (Maybe if I look at my photos this time NEXT year, I'll do less impulsive buying. I love Christmas things too much, LOL. Hard to resist.) (Yes, but I've been burned. An Overstock chair described as aniline leather was actually bicast, and looks like vinyl. A Crate and Barrel chair needs constant tightening to keep the frame sturdy. It wasn't one of the floor models; we found it in the store's Flexsteel catalogue, and I persuaded DH it would be OK. Was I ever wrong. I hate the damn thing more each time I look at it. I am thinking of entirely remaking the back and side cushions to make it more bearable. Plus it's too big for the room, and makes rearranging furniture really hard. I will never buy another couch without giving it the tush test, and will measure many, many more times.) 10. (We don't have many of them here: a few weeks, but I usually don't find what I want.) B. Through Craigslist ad? (I don't really time these finds, because they're so random. I've been looking for a nice bed for several years: just found a solid-wood classic-lined bed from NC for $150, so my patience paid off!) C. Through Classified listing? (using these infrequently of late) D. Garage or Estate sales? (like Craigslist, these are chancy. I'd say I stumble across a good one a few times a year.) All in all, the more I read here and at the Furniture Forum, the more interested I am in used furniture. I like the hunt and the creativity involved in remaking it; it's in my price range; and I think it's a better value than today's laminated frames and polyfill cushions.
