Track lighting for over bathroom vanity in room with low ceiling?

Hi folks. I am replacing my vanity and medicine cabinet in a bathroom in a little old house. The ceiling is about 7'2" and the medicine cabinet I am getting is 5.25" deep and 24" high. I need to get a light to go over it that (a) fits vertically and (b) sticks out enough horizontally that it's not just lighting the top of the cabinet. I'm not sure how the medicine cabinet will be hung but I'm guessing there would be about 1' 4" of space above it.

(FWIW I don't really want sconces on the side because I don't want to muck with the wiring and it would interfere with a shelf I like.)

I'm thinking track lighting might be a solution. Is it possible to hang on the wall OR the ceiling? Which is better? Would it be bright enough (for putting on makeup, say)? Or am I totally overthinking this and a "bath bar" would be okay after all?

Here are some that I was looking at:

I need to order this before someone comes to start the work and I'm having trouble visualizing it in a vacuum. Would appreciate any tips!
