I got an email from J.Jill advertising their cashmere, including some pants -- even in talls! Last time I wore cashmere, nearly 30 years ago, it made me itch, even with a shirt or blouse underneath, so I'm not likely to try them. I would if I thought I could. Hope you find some you love.

If you want boots that feel like slippers, you cannot beat Mukluks. I wear the Arctic with ribbon -- for more than 20 years. LOVE them! I also have their Ojibwa and Mocs, but they don't fit me like the Artics do. Some of their styles have fur: Steger Mukluks

I agree Vuori joggers may be for you. They have a drawstring waist and are so soft and comfy. I finally bought a pair of Ugg boots to wear to my Pilates classes. i can throw them on without socks in winter and they are perfect. There are many styles now that are shorter and are not so clunky looking.

edited to add, i am in the south so it usually isnt all that cold, but the shearling is heaven on my feet.

This is why I am happy I live in the South! I hate coats and being bundled up in layers of clothing. I much prefer flip-flops to boots! LOL

I have seen sweater pants on several sites. An over 50 blogger even did a post on the pants and tops recently. I believe hers came from JCrew. I am looking for a pair of the ribbed pants - ankle length - to wear with booties. I ordered a pair from Gap, but they were thin fabric. I've seen fleece leggings many places.

If you dont mind something non-stylish, LL Bean has fleece lined slim pants. i have some of their fleece leggings and they are comfy.

I have some fleece-lined pants from Athleta that are nicer than sweat pants and less clingy than leggings, but still pretty much fitness type pants. They are super warm. I wear them to/from lap swimming in the winter when I can get super chilled walking from the building to my vehicle with wet hair.

Thanks for all the help! I've ordered some Uggs, sweater pants, and Vuori joggers :) Will try them out and potentially add more of these great suggestions to my comfy wardrobe after those come.

That cream is the color I ordered. They look really nice. Hopefully I can look somewhat presentable, LOL. Although 80% of the places I go are just moms in yoga pants so whatever, as long as I am comfy that is ALL I care about now!

Mtn, those are much more cute than I had envisioned. I’m going to look furtner, as my DGD is taking a trip to NYC with girlfriends a couple of weeks before Christmas and will need some warm things. Her birthday is coming up soon.

One question, are the abercrombie pants very long? There isn't a length given in the description and my girl is very short.
