This one is an old photo, but it has always struck me as symbolic of the complexity of an ancient culture mixing with a new one. Old Delhi train station:

I believe it has several different names, including Ice Plant, but here in Oz I've only heard it called Pigface. This one is an Australian native, by the way. https://www.anbg.gov.au/gnp/interns-2005/carpobrotus-glaucescens.html Edited to add: reading up on this, I've learned that this plant is entirely edible, flowers, leaves and all, and also good for treating insect bites and burns. Who knew?

- @ Toronto….there is a small desert town in Arizona called ”Hope” which most people just drive through. As drivers pass out of the town, there is a sign,”You are beyond Hope.” Your street sign reminded me of Hope, Arizona.

We have wild horse herds that roam our mountain valley freely. I took this photo of several milling around the entrance to our grade school, right on the main road through our village.

Teakettle Junction, Death Valley. We've gotten lost in this part of DV several times, and it was scary, especially on Hunter Mountain. No cell phone service anywhere near here.
