So now...Halloween Costumes
Comments (14)several years back friends had a halloween party every year that was top of the line. everyone came dressed to the hilt and the prizes were just excellent - not to mention the food and atmosphere. they went all out - moved furniture out of the house, turned it into a total thrill house. i miss those parties, but most of all i miss my friend. every year everybody tried to top their costume from the year before. a few times i won a certain category, but my best costume was a decomposing bride, which one me three prizes that year. i got an old wedding dress (it so ugly to begin with) from a thrift store and kind of made it worse with more ri[ps and tears and what not, stained it a little to make it faded and older looking. my make-up was amazing - total death face - my arms and hands all veiny and just gross. my hair was a tangled mess and teased in places with a few fake bugs thrown in and the veil, which was really just an odd piece of tulle with one of those kiddie tiaras, was in sad shape. i wore these funky shoes which were at one time white, but i muddied them, and then tied to the back of one of them, i dragged another one which made it look like my foot was dragging, and limped around throughtout the night. i carried a bride's purse stuffed with old cards - the envelopes that were yellowed and (fake) torn money. even my wrist corsage was pathetic. maryanne...See MoreWhere the elite meet and greet on Halloween :-)
Comments (10)Chisue, our beauty will spend Thanksgiving weekend in NYC with her family to enjoy the Macy's parade, and they're planning a winter ski trip to Utah. Otherwise, she's working two restaurant jobs, and looking for one in her field (graphic design). Thanks for asking! Maire, I don't know exactly what they're planning to do in Salem. One of her girlfriends' birthday is today, and they drove up yesterday with the girl's family. They're all staying a few days. It sounds like fun. Thanks for the ID. I never watch horror movies, and I get all the evil guys mixed up. :-)...See MoreHalloween Costume Ideas
Comments (9)A couple of years ago I picked up an idea on another forum that I'm going to use this year: Grey pants and a grey hoodie, with fiberfill (pillow stuffing) "clouds" pinned to the hoodie. When asked what you are, you say, "Partly cloudy, with a chance of showers." On the word showers you pull a small spray bottle out of the hoodie pocket and give it a squirt. I was going to do this two years ago, but instead pinned 4 or 5 numbers to my grey garments for "50 shades . . . " :-) The great thing about these costumes is they're comfortable! Comments (28)A few years ago a friend of mine and her husband had a very unique couples costume. He wore a black and white stripes shirt and black pants as a football ref and she wore a yellow sheet. He would blow his whistle and she would fling herself to the ground. She of course was his yellow flag on the play. It was hilarious. She was very dramatic on the flinging herself. I too saw someone go as dinner for 2, he had a cardboard "table" around his waist, table cloth, table set with dishes for 2 and wine glasses. He wore the waiters outfit and was serving a bottle of wine. He won the contest. He really did an excellent job on the whole setup. Another cute one I saw a couple do, husband dressed as a hobo or homeless person and the wife wore a big brown cardboard box. His refrigerator box home....See More- 4 years ago
