The Brewmatic is great! It connects to a receptacle behind it in the backsplash wall and is fed by a 1/4" line that runs in the wall and pokes out behind the unit as well. I ran the water line in a piece of 3/8" flexible electrical conduit that extends to the basement where I have the water filter. This provides protection to the water line as well as providing the means to replace it if needed in the future. I simply grouted around the water line as it comes through the tile and that seems to be working well. Extra cord and water line are coiled and tied and tucked up behind the unit.

Thanks evaperconti! Had a chance tonight to read more (I hate to pull the trigger without a little research) and feel very confident in the washer ($440). Considering taking a pass for now on the dryer. Can only have one $100 discount, so adding the dryer at $575 is not the best part of the deal. I would also have to run a gas line up from the basement to change from electric to gas. And I might want to reconfigure the laundry room, because the units would be deeper and better adjacent than across from each other given their doors' swings. Add gas, move electric & vent, ditch the useless sudsaver tub... and that means decisions for counters, floor, cabinets, ........aaackkk!! I can't handle all that right now and don't want to be rushed. All that is major bucks when the dryer didn't even give out yet! I just need clean socks *now*. I think I'll just get the washer in tomorrow and take my time to plan out the laundry space and purchase a dryer later. I'll take my chances that A) I'll find a matching dryer later or B) I won't care whether they match or C) if I really care, sell the washer and start over. I'm not real matchy-matchy anyway, and I'm definitely not into being locked into replacing *both* units as soon as either one breaks to sustain matchyness. (What a racket that is, hey?) Besides, the HE2 line is fairly new and will likely be around at the scratch and dent for a while. I could even luck into another clearance sale. So that's that. Deliver the washer, cancel the dryer. Exit crisis mode. Agreed? Whew. Thanks again.

@Patricia Colwell Thank you for your input. The current laundry room is 9.5 x 6 ft. I think the door was an entry from the deck before it was enclosed as a screened in porch. We never use it and would consider removing it. I worry that the space isn't quite big enough to combine functions but would love to hear any suggestions you have! @designinteriorsouth Thank you for responding. I have considered what you suggested before and it's not really clear from the floorpan that I posted, but doing that would pretty much eliminate my daughter's walk-in closet. I just couldn't come up with a good way to access that space and keep her closet intact. I have also considered just moving and stacking the washer/dryer in the linen closet outside the master, but I don't know if it's a great idea to eliminate a decent sized laundry to put it into a closet. Here's a quick modification of the floor plan that shows how it impacts her closet.

Great space! I think I'd stick with nickel (or stainless, which works fine with it). I'd use a pull, because some of the doors will be a stretch, and keep them light to match the feel of the room. Be sure to order one sample of each contender, so you can actually feel them in person.
