I tend to go more towards muted brown, red, yellow/gold, rust colors (in past), but open to other somewhat neutral palettes. I actually love the console, but was considering an antique cream color (if I could make that work?). My tastes tend to be traditional, rustic, a little farmhouse (pottery barn, restoration hardware, ballard designs) but with so many current needs, all those in a TIGHT budget! Aktillery9, i do like all of those looks. My husband did just tell me, due to wiring, there is chance we may not be able to mount on flat wall as i hoped, so i may be forced to go back to corner console again. :( When I get a chance, I'll post some of my fav looks.

You may have already tried this, but some sites have mock up features, so you can see the rug in your room … Rugs Direct, Rugs USA, eSaleRugs, Crate and Barrel, etc. It isn’t exact, but gives an idea. I can’t tell if you’ll need an 8x10 or larger. Your Fall decor looks nice. :)

Purchased a Crate and Barrel Sofa in Douglas Ice. Not the most modern sofa, but going in a mid century modern room. Need help finding a practical (dogs and teens), comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing large area rug! Leaning more towards the creams in the color than gray. Welcome suggestions and pics! Rug first then paint. You select the rug first because rug sizes, patterns, and your budget will limit what is available to you. Paint has infinite choices. If you start with the paint color, you may never find the right color and pattern rug that you can afford & might end up painting the room twice. Your sofa color has a decidedly green color. Those beige rugs you are placing next to the sofa in your photoshopped images are not working in your favor. They have a red/pink undertone in color. I don't mean to offend. but a large percentage of the male population is red/green colorblind. If that applies to you then get some help with selecting colors. Here is the online test for Red/Green Colorblind https://www.webeyeclinic.com/color-blind/ishihara-test As I mentioned earlier, the paint color you currently have on the wall works with your current seating selections. What is it you don't like? Once you have art on the walls the large expanse of golden green paint will not seem so intense.
