We were also wanting windows with black interiors and exteriors. For us the local availability brought it down to a choice between Pella or Milgard fiberglass windows. The Pella offerings were somewhat pricier, and we could never quite understand the why of it. We wound up selecting Milgard Ultra, and we're happy with the end results. And Milgard's warranty was fantastic, as our landscaper accidentally hit one window with a stone and chipped it, but Milgard replaced the insert without so much as a blink. One factor is whether a particular manufacturer's black is acceptable to you. Milgard's is called Black Bean, which is a bit lighter than true black, and I fussed over this for quite a while. Pella's may have been very slightly blacker, but also not true black. Now that we can see the final product in place, it looks fine. Good luck on your project. Brian

@BeverlyFLADeziner I mostly like the color, not necessarily the style. I actually LOVE the style shingle in the above two photos, but I like the darker color. When you so dated, what do you mean? I'd love your suggestions on style and color, along with a recommendation for a supplier of the vinyl siding you recommend. I have attached a photo of the home we are having re-sided. It is a second home, on the water in direct sun. So, we need something durable that can with stand heat and humidity (and that is reasonably priced). I'd like the color and style to look have a coastal feel to it. My husband likes the color of the house I included earlier in this thread. I Thank you!!

Thanks, Celery! I was just working on that. Here is it is SW double latte. I'm wanting more cohesion, though. It just seems like two separate top/bottom houses with the light/dark and not getting tied together. Does that make sense? The only thing I can think of is painting the window trim in the darker color...but that just looks so dated. Soooo tricky, it seems.

I think the contrast between your gravel mulch and the stone could be an issue. Stone may also recess the windows more than you'd expect. I would go with masonry paint (Romabio) all around if it is cheaper. Stone can be done later if you're not happy with paint. I think a bit more landscaping will camouflage the foundation better.. Emphasize the front door with color and simplify the windows. Are they to be vinyl and how paintable are they? Major paint companies do make appropriate paints for non-wood installations that would work if you want to change to black. Be aware that making changes to the original finish on the windows may invalidate the warranty.
