What patio colors would look good when viewed from our interior?
Comments (14)Personally, I'd be inclined towards the greener tones....and maybe even a gray green like a sage color (rather than the yellow greens in your color swatch). Earthy tones tend to be too warm to me in a hot and very sunny climate and the gray green is cooling and soothing. And it blends well and compliments both plants and rocks!!...See MoreWhat Exterior Colors would you choose with the window replacement?
Comments (14)Groveraxle, it’s the lighting on the picture- the siding is beige on the back of the house. And yes, we have to replace all of them - 75% of the seals have broken and the windows are cloudy. Plus the contractors that gave us quotes have said it would cost more to do it piecemeal. So, we are just going to bite the bullet. But the siding is old and will eventually need to be replaced. We are just trying to make the best decision without pricing ourselves out of the neighborhood with improvements but still want it to look ok....See MoreI need to replace my windows. Comments (7)Charming house, and I'd want to keep the character. After much research, my daughter ended up with Anderson 400 Woodwright double hung windows for her 1950's house. She did 6 over 6 instead of 8 over 8 because her openings were a bit narrower than usual. We also looked at Marvin Integrity, but Anderson had a few features we liked better and were a bit better looking to us. They are wood on the inside but clad on the outside for no maintenance. It's a nice looking product. Of course, if wanting all wood, then Marvin makes a nice one. None of these are inexpensive....See MoreWhat color other than white
Comments (5)I agree with blue or green, nature’s colors. I painted my bedrooms Benjamin Moore Guilford Green, which has a good balance of spring green with a touch of blue undertones in some light, but is muted enough not to be annoying. It looked beautiful against the trees outside and the plants inside. It was really easy to match decor with it. I had it for years and I would use it again in a room with enough natural light. Google images for it. It looks like a different color in every pic. It was BM color of the year in 2015 so there are a lot of room pics....See Moremillworkman
