javiwa, thanks so much for the support. It sounds like you've had a extremely frustrating experience. :( Yes, you're right... I have come a long way. And I'm almost there! It helps to stop and take heart in that. :) The useable space you've got for your drawers is eye opening. It is shocking to me how much useable space is lost!! Wow. I will definitely be going to the cab maker's office to take some measurements from their small showroom. It will help to get a better idea of the dimensions. Thanks so much for the encouraging words javiwa. :) AnnKH: Ooo, what a good idea to order extra shelves!! I hate how I have to stack things in my current cabinets. Extra shelves that are adjustable would be SO great! I'm short too so I'll appreciate having a lower second shelf too! How many shelves did you get for each wall cabinet? I also love your above the fridge pull put! Things can easily get lost up in that deep cabinet so a pull out would be really useful. I'm adding that to my list of wants! Something like this, maybe? I downsized to an 18' upright freezer when we bought this house, thinking I could get by with smaller and energy efficient. It's barely big enough, even with a roomy freezer area in my French door refer, and a little space in the garage refrigerator. I ordered three of the above baskets and they just came FedEx this week. I put pork products (bacon, pieces of ham I'd frozen for soups, couple of packages of pork steaks) in one basket, cheeses and odds and ends of other things in another, and single serving sized things along with a few items that should be used soonest in the third. I think they are going to work out well. One thing I'm finding with beginning to freeze much vacuum packed these days, those vacuum sealed packages are slippery - and the excess ends make it hard to stack, keep things neat. I bought freezer butchers paper and may start wrapping some things in paper. Back when we used to have half a beef, share half a pork with a friend, all was wrapped in paper and I didn't really see a difference in frozen shelf life when well wrapped. And I've had enough practice I do know how to wrap well. Tidier ;0) Editing to add - I am not that Ebay seller ;0) Only a consumer who needed a tidier freezer and spent an hour browsing Amazon, Target, others last week before ordering on Ebay. I promise.

This is hard one. New home build has.. (small farmhouse) We have a pantry and a tall pantry cabinet too.. pantry has vaccum & brushes. We have a small hallway between rooms that has space for officey stuff, charging, counter for snacks for party.. but mostly printer and laptop support stuff.. upper cabinets. We have a dresser in the small main floor bath instead of closet. We have a shoe closet because we like Japan style. We have a large nice coat closet plus a simple mud room with hooks at another entrance and farm boots. we have a homeschool supply cabinet/a matching one for coat closet we have a linen closet/built in in the hallway upstairs that is actually a basecabinet with wood counter and a upper wall cabinet built in (like office hallway) we have a full linen closet outside of bathroom door on this level too sharing the upstairs vac/broom and cleaning supplies we have a shallow shelf with sliding doors in upstairs bath for small items but not a fan of cloth hanging out in the bathroom.. in hallway. interestingly we don't have closets for the kids yet. We want an easy layout with what we have with windows and doors.. vents.. going modern and growing with them style.. we have are farmers but we have a 4' wide door in BR with another 4' wide open curtain place for me.. I like tall dressers and need more places for folding, jeweler and underwear.. have nice pieces that do best folded.. hate closet systems, want light and pretty space instead. Velvet curtains ;) basment is full! We have a plan for dedicated and double checked (insects and others) but want true dressers indtead of tubs and wall stuff. Want to sew and love basement.. don't want walls covered.. want art and more fancy room stuff in basement. Going for dressers for Christmas, sweaters.. and sometimes buffet peices.. do not want a Rubbermaid look! I want to do something amazing with my basement too.. not sure exactly but more living room, play room, art studio with storage much lower than normal storage rooms. Also having a vac & broom in the have closet.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! There are good points in all the options. I think it over and over, even though I like the previous option #1 a lot, I realized the TV wall is a concrete wall, so cannot move the door open that way. I try to be more realist, like you said budget-wise and if I sell this unit in the future, they are likely don't need a hug amount of closet space. So I think I will make the shower room bigger and make lots of movable wardrobe units. I'm not sure what would be the best way to fit the pink wardrobe unit in the image below, I don't want the room to feel smell or separated: Option A - I feel the bed is close to the pink wardrobe might make it feel close to the wall, but the good thing is the room doesn't feel separated. Option B - The bed doesn't feel very close to the wall but the room feels separated with the pink wardrobe and created hallway which I feel it waste the space. Any other potential options? I like @damiarain 's idea of making it a big single sink and some draws on the side - I want to have a one piece vanity top with sink (not undercount), seems hard to find people to make it. @Flo Mangan I was looking for those closet lift, they all seem to be manual (could be quite heavy) on the market, do you know if there is an automate one?
