I don't subscribe to emails and was asually looking at the threads and dfon't go to page 3 usually:) I am loving the sectional now and don't even see the angles anymore:) I still have to complete the decoration of the room because I got sidetracked with landscape. I got a couple of blue pillows from Target and they look great on the sofa. It adds a lot of substance to the huge room. I am happy with the purchase. Please let me know if you want any pictures. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to decorate the tv wall. We out all the equipment for the tv in the wall behind so that we won't see the wire clutter but now the floating tv bothers me. We will change the size if the tv to a bigger one later on. The Tv is off the center of the wall because we centered it to the opening form the kitchen. I am thinking about putting a ladder like shelf to the side and a bog console table or ikea expedite under the tv. Any suggestions, please?

That is one reason I like (and only have ever gotten) tight back sofas. No adjusting; they don't get out of shape from people leaning against them; no need to vacuum behind them; and they are, IMO, more comfortable because of the stability of them. I also prefer tight-seat sofas for the same reason. Much more comfortable because of the support; food and lint and pencils....can't get underneath them, so they stay clean and are maintenance free. I think they're just a smarter way to go in all ways. As for pillows, the only pillows I ever have on sofas, FYI, are bed pillows, with covers and cases on them. Upholstered pillows can't be cleaned, other than dry cleaned, and I'm sure no one ever does it, yet people lay their heads on them, sleep on them (drool?), lie back on them after a sweaty day at the office....I suspect sofa pillows are among the grosser things in people's homes. Bed pillows with pillow cases, not attractive, and I pull my good sofa pillows out for company, but I can keep them clean, esp. since I rent my house out. I really like that mood sofa and think it's perfect for what you've got going on in that room. I can't be destroyed, misshaped, easily cleaned by wiping it down, and presumably you can get it in different colors. It also has thin arms and back, so it doesn't take up space in a small area with huge roll arms or anything like that. The length you want to look at, btw, is the "inside length". That is the seating area. This one is 69.5".

Really great room. Like all that natural light. Would stay with live plants and green colors (such as is in your plant art) for accessorizing -- aside from trying a few colors you particularly like as throw pillows (perhaps choose pillows that have those greens and another color). A pair of short wood bar stools could be used as plant stands on each side of the fireplace behind the chairs by the windows. You have a lot of light colored furnishings in your room. Choosing cherry wood for plant stands or side tables could add color without adding color. There are mounts that lower tv down over fireplace to eye level, for comfortable viewing. I recommend this one. I do not recommend putting a sofa, much less a sectional, with back to windows, if it can at all be avoided. I look at placement from an Eastern Feng Shui perspective, and sofa with back to windows is not desirable. Many people do it. Folks often take the wall where the sofa should be and throw a tv on it - and they sit in all kinds of contorted, uncomfortable positions so they can watch tv. But there is a better way. Also, Eastern Feng Shui is not fond of floating sofa arrangements, either. And floating a sofa with back to entries is not desirable. Much of Feng Shui is based on nature and common sense. And you see how these principles operate in every day activities. For example, have you noticed how many people - and particularly men - do not like sitting with their back to entries in restaurants and other establishments? Same principles are operating - whatever you want to call it. Also, quite frankly, trying to float a huge sectional in what is already a narrow room - just doesn’t seem like a plan to me. The room is narrow, but your sectional was working fine where it was. However, if you want to float a sofa or sectional facing the fireplace, you need something on a smaller scale; and if you float a sofa, put a sofa table in back of sofa to anchor it, as well as provide a better view from behind. I would not do the sofa with back to windows, period. It’s an uncomfortable seating arrangement and closes in the room. In terms of your current furnishings, I would leave sectional where you had it originally and bring in a couple of swivel chairs, scaled for the space, instead of the current chairs. And get the tv mount I recommended above. The mount lowers as well as angles the tv.
