What a lovely room! I would use different pillows with color and/or pattern. Can't help with the side tables other than maybe they bother you because they are too "matched" to everything else - perhaps leather drums in a color or animal print? Rug with a bit of color?

When I say "color," I don't mean bright neon - just some cool colors. Light teal? Pale greens?

Our Giant Cat sleeps in cardboard box lids, on the round cardboard from a pizza box, on big pieces of kraft paper; that's how my dining room is decorated, lol. (He doesn't fit on or in any of them.)

Every Christmas my daughter buys him (Giant Cat) a fancy padded and lined box or house from a pet store to sleep/play in - nope, he's a cardboard boy all the way. He also shuns all the toys from stores. Right now he's obsessed with slapping wooden golf tees around. Or bottle caps.

Okay, off topic but it *is* a very current photo of my dining room. Do you notice the expensive artwork? Not a chance, lol.

It appears that all of your sectional pieces can separate and be rearranged. If that is so, you might try centering only the 3-seat section facing TV. Then square up your two chairs and the smaller table on the left below the art. Angle the remaining armless part of the sectional in the right window with the floor lamp and the garden stool for a coffee/reading area. If you want to use the larger table, set it in the left window and load it with plants.

You did a good job, room looks great! I would go with cow hide or an area rug.

Would stay with live plants and green colors (such as is in your plant art) for accessorizing -- aside from trying a few colors you particularly like as throw pillows (perhaps choose pillows that have those greens and another color).

A pair of short wood bar stools could be used as plant stands on each side of the fireplace behind the chairs by the windows.

You have a lot of light colored furnishings in your room. Choosing cherry wood for plant stands or side tables could add color without adding color.

What do you use for lighting to read when on the sectional? You could use a sofa table behind it with a couple of lamps; or floor lamps.

Definitely good idea to do sofa table but I have no idea what it should look like. I'd like something contemporary to go with the rest of our home but it has to be a bit on the bigger side as the room is so big. I don't have any plug-ins close to the sofa. I like the idea of floor lamps but again, can't seem to find anything that works. Thanks so much for your feedback!
