The most recent photo makes it look closer to city walk than first pictures alludes to. If you would, take the foundation planting pictures from the front/center position while standing on the city walk. All pictures must be taken from exact same location, pivoting camera. Do not change the camera position between photos. Please give a full 180* sweep of slightly overlapping photos (street will show in first and last photo.) And then also take the separate distance picture from across the street.

Your inspiration photos seem to solve your needs. A long bench, with drawer or basket storage below and a double hook (possible a shelf) beneath each window, would give you a lot of storage. You may even have room to add a tall, pull out cabinet at each end or you could modify the closet to have a pull out as well as hanging area. You could add ceiling height, deep cabinets over your washer and dryer and a countertop for folding. If you must have a hamper, as in your pictures, buy a decorative one and store it under your window. After that, just add a rug and it would look great.

@thinksesignlive...that’s a great image. Do you think the wood slab ceiling would make the space darker further and make the ceiling feel even lower? What do you think if the wood seat ceiling had slats of mirror randomly incorporated in the space? Then on the floor which which could be wood slat as well, but incorporate random pieces of a heavy duty frosted glass (the feel of a water element) in the space. Instead of a couch for entertaining guests, incorporate outdoor patio furniture but more lush but durable cushions (sunbrella fabric). Maybe just a couple tall low level light plants, use a plant service to change them out every couple months. Lastly, add a simple zen water feature so block road noise and bounce light off of in the evenings. Movement in a space adds life to it,

Hi, Jillian. I really like the charcoal, textural wallpaper in your vision board, as well as the lighter color with thin charcoal stripe runner. I think those are beautiful choices, along with the lighting fixture you found, but I would definitely paint the woodwork a white, cream or very light tannish/ beige color. Then again, it depends on your color preferences and what you have going on in your other decor. Is there a good stopping off point for the trim painting ? What are the predominant colors in your furnishings - any blue or green ? Those could be beautiful for trim ,as well. —- Would you mind sharing the vendor/ identifying info. about the light fixture in your mood board ? —- Bottom line, I think a foyer is an introduction to your home and your style . It shouldn’t really be decided/ decorated in isolation. I think you will get better input, Jillian, if you are able to describe how this foyer will relate to the rest of your rooms, furnishings and preferences.
