Once I got started it was hard to stop. I covered a bunch of stuff with frost blankets, sheets, trash cans, buckets or pots lined with cut up frost blanket and even a couple card board boxes. Got down to 29° early this morning. Most things look great. A little frost damage on some covered stuff along with some bent leaves here and there. Some frost damage on uncovered stuff, but for the most part, everything fared well. Seems like location was the deciding factor. Having space between the cover and the plant makes a huge difference. Of course, more will be revealed as some damage may not be apparent yet.

Someone in the comments about this song said it induces a feeling of ambeddo, which is a word from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. Apparently it’s a trance like state where you become absorbed in details like raindrops falling down windows or cloud formations etc. I usually can’t keep my eyes open when I listen to it, but I gave it a try while I was on my exercise bike and a dead ivy vine on a tree trunk did morph into a giant centipede, and I saw the face of a one eyed one eared bull with an umbrella on his head in the flint of my garden wall🧐👍😁

We've been cross posting on TGP for this reason, as there is little other activity there, and so one can just go to that forum and see a list of FNM. If you do post a new FNM thread, be sure to cross post on The Garden Party so that this will continue. This started when HT was discontinued. Of course the ones that were on HT cannot be found, and so I think I would be fine to start threads with topics that had previously been posted there, since they are gone now.

If there are some tiles that need replacing, check out www.heritagetile.com . They make authentic tile. A few. things I’ve considered Taking out the angled cabinet to the left of the sink. It is really deep and stuff gets lost in there. Replace with a few short open shelves that are not angled but parallel with the rest of the cabinets. Agreed that would be your best solution. Whether to use the same as countertop materials between the cabinets and counter. Or to go with tile. If tile should it cover the wall all around the sink up to the ceiling? Or just partway? go with tile and don't do the window wall at all. Not needed. Or if you do this suggestion, then tile under the shelves only. Either would work: for the corner cabinet you could do L shaped open shelves and display colorful cookware or dishes Oh and definitely Marmoleum! I'd also look at soapstone for the counters since you said the kids tend to put hot stuff directly on the counters. Corian is great but you can't put hot stuff on it.
