Not too sure how much they sell but everytime I am in the store, there are always new Wolf ranges ready to be shipped out at the door and Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances boxed up. They don't display any of it so it is always special order. I've been able to see most of the stuff I want while in the store though. I purchased my last Wolf AG range from them and they install for free. Miele called me and installation sounds like it will be very expensive if I do it through a certified installer. The local shop is putting a quote together right now then I can compare to the Miele prices. I also checked into the SZ 700TC and there is really no price difference and they have never sold one so again, no experiance for service and install. In the end, I'm sure I'll be more than happy with either brand.

Hi Schwester5, Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about Miele dishwashers. I have the Diamond, not the Futura, but apparently they're really similar except for a few bells, whistles and extra cycles, and the Diamind comes with a 5-year warranty (here's a helpful link on the difference between Miele DWs): http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/appl/msg0510233530587.html Anyway, I'm thrilled with the Miele dishwasher. Even though I did have a frustrating problem with a bent prong on a connector, but Miele sent a Master Miele tech 8-hours round trip and he fixed it. It cleans like a dream. My lipstick is kind of a sticky pink gloss that sticks like crazy to the rim of mugs and glasses. My previous DW (Kenmore Elite) didn't even touch those lipgloss marks. With the Miele, everything comes out perfectly clean. I adore the cutlery tray, and although the Miele appears smaller than some, you really can pile up dishes like crazy--I load bowls on top of each other in a big stack--and they all come out perfectly clean. I love all of the wash cycle options, although I like to use the longer Pots and Pans cycle. It looks great, it's quiet, and the overall operation is great. FWIW, I'm also the very happy owner of a 36" Wolf (DF Range) that I love. It was clear from peaking with the appliance people during my research on Wolf, Thermador and Viking that Wolf had the best repair record, was the heaviest (as in well-built, quality steel, etc.), and was favored by a lot of serious cooks. Thermador would've been my second choice, I love the star burners with all that BTU flexibility. Good luck!

But I can tell you from my experience many people have problems with their units after they've run self-cleaning mode (and this is across the board for modern brands), likely due to all the new microchips and electronics we use in modern ovens these days." Whether it is electronics or the blue enamel, if it doesn't work, don't promote it as a benefit and take it off until you get something that does work. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened to these customers." No one knows how many have this problem except Wolf. From this forum, we know it has been ongoing for 10 years and some posters have had as many as 3 go bad not to mention one of the lawsuits mentioned a multiplicity of failures for one family. They were also talked into spending more money with Wolf to upgrade with the idea it would not occur and it still chipped. That has happened on this forum too. I feel if Wolf was sincere and it was truly a rare occurrence, they would upgrade the appliance at no additional cost for the inconvenience it causes and in at least one case someone cut their hand on the shards. I purchased an entire thermidor kitchen. 48” grand pro range, hood, dishwasher, and side by side freezer and fridge. The first time I turned it on the oven burned my brand new cabinets and an error code comes on. Periodically the temp probe tells me to unplug it when it's not in fact plugged in. It's been over a month and the repairman says it needs a new motherboard. The company is insisting I just let them repair an oven that was delivered broken and is currently a fire hazard. Not sure about the rest of you but when an appliance is broken from day one - you they are duds for life. Being this is my new forever home I would rather it be replaced. Thermador has sent me and my distributor through multiple hoops, they tell her one thing and me a completely different thing. They sent claim forms to my new construction home (which isnt an official address). They were rude on the phone. I have never gotten to use my Thermador appliances but would never roll the dice with them again. Because if you ever have problems, they will not help you unless it suits them. What kind of company has so customer service or pride in their product they won't replace a broken fire hazard? If you are thinking about getting a Thermador...DON’T Bosch owns Thermador... I've owned Wolf/Subzero and they were ok. Had some minor issues after 7 years but worked well.
