Your kitchen is beautiful. I think painting your walls the lightest color in your granite would instantly update your space. You can replace your backsplash with a subway tile that matches the lightest color in your granite as well.

I totally agree with Ac Lb. Gray , while still popular will be out of place with the warm elements of your kitchen.

To properly paint your cabs will be a significant cost. I'd get quotes and compare those with the cost of changing your counters. . .and then painting the walls. If you can use led lighting you can choose a 4000k bulb to lessen the warm colors.

The pictures make the kitchen look quite yellow. Put in bulbs that are at least 3000 kelvin. Many on this site recommend 4000 so test both before committing. That alone will alter what the kitchen looks like, making color changes may not be as appealing anymore.

Anne Duke hit the nail on the head. I prefer the daylight 5000 k bulbs.

When picking a paint color I agree with others that your countertops and the warm gold tones may be better with a creamier color than Revere Pewter. The golds will bring out the green undertones in Revere Pewter.

You JUST moved in. I would not rush to paint those pretty cabs. Rather just paint the walls until you get to know your kitchen better. A warm greige that can turn into a gray color with the right lighting. I like revere pewter but it can read olive green to me. That might seem too dark. The nice thing about your new cabinets is that they don't have the dreaded arch. You can update this kitchen with minimal expense. Painting the walls a light fresh gray greige that go with the granite could really make it beautiful again. Put in the brightest bulbs you can that will truly lighten the space too.

repose gray looks great with medium wood and the warm tones of the shades. I think it might look nice with your granite counters and unpainted cabinets.

Agree with above posters who suggest not painting the cabinets. I think a new backsplash and wall color would do wonders for your space!

Forget about paintng the cabinets. It’s very costly to do them right & it might just make them look like a generic ”flip” house kitchen. i would change wall color and pendants however. BTW …. I’ve noticed a definite trend away from painted kitchen cabinets moving towards wood toned cabinets in the higher end builds & remodels in my area ( coastal Orange Co., So. Cal )

I like your cabinets and LOVE your counters. Back splash could use an update down the road.

The wine racks in the right cabinet, can they be taken out? I'd want to put cookbooks here.Clear off the tops of the uppers and move the chicken somewhere else.

Painting the walls lighter is a great idea. Or even a contrasting color to switch it up. Changing the light shades will also help de-tuscanize (?). Otherwise maybe by new hardware on the cabinets. They don't have to be changed but it's an easy/cheap way to put your stamp on the room.

Another vote for: don't paint the cabinets. Agree with: warm creamy wall paint, replace backsplash (eventually) perhaps with a creamy-lightest-countertop-color subway, remove wine rack unless you're going to fill it with wine. I actually like the pendant shades, but switch out if you don't. I like the countertop, too.
