A Q for you morning glory growers...

So have mg's in a planter by the railing of my balcony which faces east. Plants are growing well -- though a bit behind where they ought to be by this point -- and are clambering all over the railing. (Seems like a lot of plants are behind this summer.) Unfortunately, I don't get a very good view of the flowers as most are blooming facing east ... and hence away from my apt. Bit of a bummer, but, hey, they are morning glories so I guess it makes sense they would do so.

My question: I had considered planting some up at my folks' place in a raised bed that runs directly against the house. This would be a western exposure and the plants would not receive any direct sun until after 12pm as they would only be about 6 inches away from the house wall. Under these conditions, would the flowers still open facing east (which means they would open with their faces looking at the house's siding)?
