I'm baaaack! Help ID'ing the hosta I found kicking around!
Comments (4)Sorry...I'm just eager to know what they all are! Next time I will post in smaller batches and include a ruler as suggested by another poster in my other thread. Halcyon does fit #5 and #4...since I think I got these both from my dad...planted it different locations. I will move #4 closer to #5 and see if that helps any. I checked the back of the "Undulata Albomarginata". They are glossy! Thanks! As for #9... I'm thinking that and #3 are the same. They are about the same size (you wouldn't know since I didn't include a ruler) and both of these plants came with the property. I'll take better photos and include a ruler and make a new post regarding these ones. Thanks for all the help!...See MoreSo Sweet hosta...how old is YOUR hosta...please post pics
Comments (28)BK....getting photos off the phone. Do you have an Android smart phone? Then you can get the Flickr or Photobucket app for free, and when you take your pictures, send the ones you want to Flickr. Failing that, do you have a phone charger that is also a USB connector to your computer? Hook it up and MOVE the photos to your computer. They might not be 8mp photos, but some might be good enough for identifying stuff. Sugar And Cream does fine here too. You'll soon discover you like it almost as much as So Sweet. Consider trying Sweet Innocence with its very wide white margin. You can ID it 10 or 20 feet no problem. Here's Sugar And Cream on the far left. and Sweet Innocence as well...See MoreAnother Hosta ID
Comments (1)No,not streaked, that's the way medio-picta Undulata get later in the season. Earlier in the year,it would have been white in the center. It's an Undulata,a very common hosta. Phil...See MoreHoping for another ID on a mini-hosta
Comments (17)Limey Lisa would be another candidate. By the way... your Twist of Lime - isn't. twist of Lime is the same color as it's parent, Lemon Lime - yellow to chartreuse... with thin irregular dark green margins. Actually, the margin tends to fade so it can be impossible to tell Twist of Lime from Lemon Lime. There are a couple in the family that have names that are the darker green... Lemon Delight is mostly dark green with a yellow margin... and the darker green with white margin is called Lime Fizz... funny, that one is not shown in the sport registry at .be but Lime Meringue is listed as green with white. no listing for an all green sport from Lemon Lime or any of the subsequent sports... and oddly enough, after 20 years or more experience with these, I've never gotten an all dark green sport....See MoreSeniorBalloon
