Maybe eliminate the little table (with all the stuff on it)...for a much bigger console table on the other wall...with a place to drop things and a decorative mirror over the table ....not sure the bench is needed

Beautiful space! I like the first picture with the rug horizontal by the door, makes the most sense for functionality and looks nice too. I think it matches very nicely... I don't like the art work in that arch way...I feel like something smaller should go in there and that piece should have its own wall.. Room can be filled in with a plant, small console table... I think a plant would add some greenery/life and help with the pop you're looking for

Bigger rug. Add art, hooks, whatever on wall above pedestal. Don’t call attention to glass block by trying to cover it up with furniture. The area is busy with that and the railing above, keep things simple. If the glass can’t be changed, ignore it. Nothing on ledge, but I’d put a larger piece of art above it. A beautifully patterned rug, with subtle colors, would provide warmth and texture to all the hard lines and surfaces. (Rugs from Rejuvenation and PB, just using as examples.) So ... very minimal furniture, nice rug with warm colors in it, and keep the eye up with art on walls instead of adding more stuff below.

prob something like this. make sure your mirror is at eye level. current one is too high and too small doesn't have to be a mirror. you could do a gallery collection or one, large piece of art. put some leaves in your vase. You have the perfect wall to do some type of wall decor. either a shiplap, or wallpaper, or paint treatment, or millwork. something! A little bit of color would go a long way. some colorful art/decor items? maybe paint the inside of the cab this blue color if doing blue art? try painting the inside of the console a nice contrasting color, and accent it w/other decor pieces. (example, if you did a dark color like black on the inside, you could accent w/white pots, milk glass or lighter color items) This is a china cabinet, but you get the gist. framed mirror lean a mirror and add some lamps.
