It's 76 and I'm cold! When I first came out I turned the fan on but had to turn it off. I wonder if I'm still anemic. I need to make an appointment to recheck my labs.
I also got my new lounge chair, a zero gravity chair. I like it but had to sit it upright after getting a leg cramp. : (

It seems like when it's been hot then we have a cool day, I get cold. 76 in spring feels so different than 76 in the summer.

Came inside after dozing but being awakened by fireworks and freezing. lol. Now eating a bowl of miso soup to warm up.

We raised Carolina wrens in a pig flower pot which sat on the deck railing. They chose this pig with the tough thorned aloe vera plant for 3 years running. To sort of hide the nest from our movements, I located the tall pot of bougainvillea in front of it. The day the fledgelings flew, I always called it WHEN PIGS FLY. They are still hanging around our garden, fussing at us for trespassing, and I still call them the Pig Family. Now we have the second pair of bluebirds in a nestbox in the hosta garden. They have babies in there and when I am close enough I hear them begging for food. I sure hope they fledge before the weather gets too too hot. Last year the pair abandoned the 2nd round of babies because it got too hot. This year I spray the area around noon to 2pm to cool it down. It helps a lot. I also have out water bowls and birdbaths, but the favorite way to shower for all the birds seems to be rubbing on the wet leaves of the peach and camellia trees while the sprinkler is running. Or the doves bathe on top of the umbrellas; Water is a prime concern and I have containers of it out everywhere....which I refresh daily to avoid mosquitos.

I primed them with Kilz because I had it leftover from another project. You could also spray with some spray paint and go to town, too. I have used spray paint in the past on lots of glass, metal and plastic projects and it works just fine to get a quick base coat to work with. I honestly have very little luck with that spray paint for plastic. I don't think it holds up very well. I have resin endtables on the porch that I painted about twice a year whether I used regular spray paint or Fusion. I finally tried Kilz and then Exterior house paint that I had left over about 4 years ago and they still look great! They clean up easily, no knicks or marks.... The paint cans set outside all winter, too. I just sprayed with clear spray paint when finished to seal them good. I usually re-spray once every year.

How far back should the sink sit?

in most cases, the "set back" for an undermount or self rimming sink is 4 inches. this is measured from the very front outside edge of the stone, to the front inside wall of the sink bowl. The 4 inch dimension can vary though, as sinks do have variation in the overall depth (from front to back) but (around) 4 inches is kind of the standard in the industry. hth kevin

Yes, I like to sit on my porch (any time!) but last night was very special. There were two blooms open on my Lily, filling the air with a strong fragrance, with scads more coming soon. Off in the distance mourning doves were cooing their goodnight lullabys, and fireflies were calling in the ladies. The temp had dropped from 92Â° to almost a chill in the air. Peace in my little world. No katy dids yet, but I'm reminded of an instance one summer evening at church when the preacher was sermonizing and a katy did flew in the open door, took a seat on the back of a pew and started singing her own hymn. Preacher kept preaching, katy kept singing, kids snickering. Someone finally escorted her out. lol Sue

Elmer, instant miso packet from an Asian store. lol. Wish I had some tofu to add to it, those dehydrated tofu pieces are really sad.

I am definitely not anemic, but being used to very hot weather, I get chilled easily. I ran out to roll up the windows in my truck the other day, because it started raining, and came in the office in the barn afterwards because it was nearer than going inside my house, and the a/c set on 78, and ceiling fan, I was cold. I know most people hate hot weather, but cold weather is what does me in. I hate being cold.

I stay cold all the time, I keep my thermostat at 77º, and then I get cold an turn it up then I get hot. Maybe its a age thing I don't know.

Our bodies adjust to the general temperature. We have 4 seasons that are fairly evenly split. And there's no doubt that when it hits 50 in October, we freeze. When it hits 50 in February, we're looking for our shorts!

Okay, I have THAT miso recipe myself. As for real tofu, buy some at the store. You can do a lot of other good things with it.

@Kathsgrdn, Are you taking iron every day? I am anemic, but they can't figure out why, so I was on 3 iron pills a day, but now down to 2.

Kathyg, I did buy a bottle after I got my lab results but take them only sporadically. My doctor just told me he wanted to recheck my labs in a few months.

There is likely a cold front that moved in that is making you cold. I, of course, do not know where you are, but here in the MidAtlantic we have had several colder than average days this summer. This morning and yesterday morning I had to reach for my robe.

One day last week or so, I had to take a warm shower because I was cold.

It does happen in the summer here, but not very often that we get a chilly day in the summer.
