To get the most comprehensive comments, please supply photos of all four walls including adjoining spaces in the brightest light--overhead, daytime, etc. Also bring a chair over to the window so we can see upholstery close up.

Please understand that Commentors approach even a simple question about drapes holistically. That is, we need to see adjoining spaces and furnishings that may open up into the dining room. We need to see floors to see how the finish affects the palette in the room. Do you have a rug in there? Can't tell. So more visual information is needed.

I hope this is better... Flooring is cream carpet. The dining opens to foyer and kitchen. Only one window in the dining room

You have great taste. Really elegant space. And you can definitely combine some blues with what you have in dining room, if that would work with your overall scheme. I like the drapes you have shown. Whatever you choose, I think a silk or silk type of fabrication would be beautiful for your room. And I think the fabric is the key factor.

I could also see sonething like this - and this one is done in a faux silk.

Those are beautiful curtains, freedomplace. They extend the palette of the furnishings and walls in a very rich way while introducing that blue color. Plus they work with the chairs.

I really do like those curtains, freedomsplace. So elegant. Just need to find out where to purchase. That is the hardest for me. I usually buy online as most stores seem to have very little instock
