Window treatment ideas for corner windows
Comments (6)Would a rod stick out enough to go over the molding and sill, or would curtains look kind of bent where they hang over the molding? Personally, I love plain white linen curtains like your last picture. Another option, light filtering shades, http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70314592/ However, they don't offer complete privacy at night....See MoreWindow treatments for corner kitchen windows
Comments (5)Hey there: the only problem with the existing shades is that they are black-out. The black-out fabric makes your corner dark and for privacy you have to fully close them. You don't want to put lipstick on a pig. Anything you do without replacing the existing shades will be only half-way....See MoreWindow treatment ideas for large sliding glass doors that turn corner
Comments (6)In our new house we used Hunter Douglas Duettes (wired & automated) with top-down/bottom-up for all the windows. On 3 of our sliders we use the Hunter Douglas Vertiglide shades, basically duettes that are vertical. Depending on the room, we used opaque or room darkening fabric. Very happy with all of them....See MoreHow should I configure these corner window treatments?
Comments (16)Thank you to everyone for all of your insights, very helpful! On the seat itself, the intention is to sit and enjoy the view! We will have short ledges on either ends of the seat to bear the weight of leaning on throw pillows and each left and right stretch of the seat is 5.5' long, so plenty of room to lay back and relax. The view stretches in all directions so plenty to see by leaning against one edge or the other. The window treatments would only be needed at night when the view will not be visible, so they will not be in the way. I wish we had inside mount as an option but unfortunately the windows are too shallow. The more I think about it though, outside mount would allow the windows to show (which are gorgeous) as well as more of the view. I think we will likely do roman shades to bring some coziness to the space. Thank you again everyone for your feedback!...See Morelenachristina
