Help with small kitchen-living-dining room
Comments (10)Hi guys, Thanks very much for your replies! @mdln: I also thought about a similar distribution (I'll post the plan if I can find it), but it doesn't have much kitchen storage (on mine there's a counter). Also the sofa isn't big enough for 4 people. But thanks very much for trying! :) @benjesbride: Thanks very much for taking the effort of drawing it too. Moving the kitchen to that bedroom was my original idea too. The size of the flat (60m2) is more appropriate for 2 than 3 bedroom. But unfortunately it is a requirement to have 3 bedrooms, so I just can play around with the distribution of the main area. I attach a distribution I made when thinking about moving the kitchen to that bedroom. As you can see is very close to yours, even the laundry is moved to the main bathroom ;) I guess with the given space there aren't many more options than what mdln or I did. I will give it another thought and if I don't get better ideas just go with it. Thanks very much for your input, it really helps!...See MoreFurniture placement in l-shaped living room / dining room
Comments (6)Great, thanks! I would use a round table that can extend to oval when you have company in the dining area, right over near the kitchen. One chair backing into the corner, rather than a chair with its back to the kitchen door. The desk can stay right where you have it in this photo. Sofa on the wall with the windows with a side table at each end. Two chairs across from it with a table between them. I sketched a pic but can't post comments on my phone, boo :(...See MoreHelp! Comments (15)It's easy to become attached to furniture. They probably have many great memories of family dinners and holidays around the table. However, a round table, maybe with leaves, would probably fit that space better. Logically, the dining area should be near the kitchen, and the hutch should be in the dining area. But the hutch will look odd next to the fireplace (as noted above). As hard as it may be, they should get rid of the hutch and get a round table. The reality we all face, is that moving means letting go. If they do that, then they can buy new rugs and furniture, for which you've received good suggestions....See MoreLaToya Martin
