My blueberry is dying and I suspect pests. Help

Philip Barron

Hi, I have a blueberry bush that I planted 2 years ago and more that I planted last year. The older blueberry did quite well from the beginning. It produced a handful of blueberries last year and a few the year before too. This year it is about half the size of the younger ones. Once they grew some leaves (mid May), I noticed that about 50-60% of the plant was dead. In trimming the death off of it, I found a grub inside the stem of one of the cuttings. I suspect this has something to do with it, but maybe the bush is unhealthy which is making it susceptible.

I know I have weevils in the area, and I was thinking that this might be a weevil larvae, and they (or something) must be eating the roots. Some of the leaves are a little chewed up too, and I read that root weevils will eat both. I went out at night and found a little guy on my cherry. How can I identify the cause, fix it, and prevent it from happening again or attacking anything else?
